Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! A Psalm And A Proverb!!!

Psalm 20:1 The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee;

Psalm 20:2 Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

Psalm 20:3 Remember all thy offerings, and accept thy burnt sacrifice; Selah.

Psalm 20:4 Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.

Psalm 20:5 We will rejoice in thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners: the LORD fulfil all thy petitions.

Psalm 20:6 Now know I that the LORD saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand.

Psalm 20:7 Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the LORD our God.

Psalm 20:8 They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.

Psalm 20:9 Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.

David is praying that Lord will answer in times of trouble, and make them safe. He is trusting that the Lord will remember all the gifts, and offerings. Therefore giving all that they want and desire. All will shout for joy, and rejoice when the war is won. The banners will be raised.

David is also letting the Lord know some people rely on chariots, some on horses, he TRUSTS in the name of the LORD. Some will fall, but we will remain strong those of us who are trusting in the Lord.

Psalm 20:9 Save, LORD: let the king hear us when we call.

Ho, my comrades!
see the signal waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing,
victory is nigh.

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,”
Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven,
“By Thy grace we will.”

See the mighty host advancing,
Satan leading on;
Mighty ones around us falling,
courage almost gone!

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,”
Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven,
“By Thy grace we will.”

See the glorious banner waving!
Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s Name we triumph
over ev’ry foe.

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,”
Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven,
“By Thy grace we will.”

Fierce and long the battle rages,
but our help is near;
Onward comes our great Commander,
cheer, my comrades, cheer!

“Hold the fort, for I am coming,”
Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven,
“By Thy grace we will.”

Proverbs 20:1 Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.

Proverbs 20:2 The fear of a king is as the roaring of a lion: whoso provoketh him to anger sinneth against his own soul.

Proverbs 20:9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin?

Proverbs 20:10 Divers weights, and divers measures, both of them are alike abomination to the LORD.

Proverbs 20:12 The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, the LORD hath made even both of them.

Proverbs 20:13 Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.

Proverbs 20:14 It is naught, it is naught, saith the buyer: but when he is gone his way, then he boasteth.

Proverbs 20:15 There is gold, and a multitude of rubies: but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.

When we read this proverb I believe it makes sense to us. The very first verse Wine is a mocker how many times has someone had a little too much wine and we start to think the opposite of what we had before the wine? Strong drink: example whiskey, rum, vodka; when we see people partake of these strong drinks often times they become violent, aggressive, hurtful. As stated before Proverbs are for our knowledge on how to behave. Therefore most often we can read through them and they make sense easily, why? Our Lord wants us to obey, to live a godly life, to avoid things that will ruin out life.

Jimmie, said his kind protector,
Long his faithful friend and guide,
Jimmie, do you love the Savior?
Yes, the happy child replied.
Can you tell how much you love Him?
All my heart to Him I give;
Love my Savior? Yes, forever,
I will try for Him to live.

Beautiful witness for God is he,
The tears of the orphan are wiped away,
I love Jesus, and Jesus loves me;
And that is all I’ve got to say.

’Twas the Holy Spirit led him
In the pleasant way of truth,
And he sought and found the Savior
In the early days of youth.
Should he live till years have sprinkled
O’er his brow the frost of age,
Sweet to him the words of comfort,
From the Bible’s sacred page.

Beautiful witness for God is he,
The tears of the orphan are wiped away,
I love Jesus, and Jesus loves me;
And that is all I’ve got to say.

Children, we may love the Savior;
If we seek Him, we shall find;
Are we ready now to serve Him
With our heart, our strength, and mind?
Think of all His tender mercies,
All the wonders He has done.
Little Jimmie’s bright example
Let us follow, every one.

Beautiful witness for God is he,
The tears of the orphan are wiped away,
I love Jesus, and Jesus loves me;
And that is all I’ve got to say.

God Bless

Love Cheryl
