Pray and Keep Praying!!!

1-thessalonians-5-16-17-18

Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! Pray Without Ceasing!!!

1Thessalonians 5:16  Rejoice evermore.
1Thessalonians 5:17  Pray without ceasing.
1Thessalonians 5:18  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

What is Prayer? Our open line communication with our Father in heaven. It is a priviledge, a honour to be able to go before his Holy, Heavenly Throne and talk to him about all that is upon on our heart. Not only are we allowed to do this, he wants us to come before him.
He gaves us a example on how to pray in Matthew with the following:
Matthew 6:9  After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Matthew 6:10  Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Matthew 6:11  Give us this day our daily bread.
Matthew 6:12  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
Matthew 6:13  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
Matthew 6:14  For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Matthew 6:15  But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

This wasn’t intended to be said in a repetitve fashion, but as a way to teach us how to go to the Lord in prayer.
*Call on the Lord and let him know your aware of where he is. He is a Holy Father, God.
*You want his will done here just as it is in Heaven. You are not looking for your will, but His.
*Ask for our daily needs and thank him for them.
* Ask for forgiveness for what sins we have committed since last time we had went before him, name them. Ask that you forgive others, stop any unforgiveness.
*Ask for any petitions we may have, pray for all who have need. Pray for your Pastors, the lost etc…
*Keep us in from sin, temptation, that we stay in the light, in his will.
*Always remember if we don’t forgive our Father won’t forgive us.
Remember he wants to hear from us, what is in our hearts. As parents we want to hear from our children what is on their hearts, not what someone tells them to say.  The Lord is our Father and he wants us to talk for ourselves, not what someone tells us to say.
We need to pray and rejoice everyday. It is not something to do when things get tough. It is something to do always. Get up in the morning and pray. On the way to work pray, rejoice. After work pray we can pray in our cars. He is willing to listen to us anytime, lets be willing to pray anytime. He has done it all for us lets do something in return.
We love to talk  on our phones, send text messages over some silly things, lets talk to the one who truly loves us, and died for us.
1John 5:13  These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1John 5:14  And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
1John 5:15  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.

Ephesians 6:18  Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

James 5:13  Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
James 5:14  Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
That calls me from a world of care,
And bids me at my Father’s throne
Make all my wants and wishes known.
In seasons of distress and grief,
My soul has often found relief
And oft escaped the tempter’s snare
By thy return, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
The joys I feel, the bliss I share,
Of those whose anxious spirits burn
With strong desires for thy return!
With such I hasten to the place
Where God my Savior shows His face,
And gladly take my station there,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
Thy wings shall my petition bear
To Him whose truth and faithfulness
Engage the waiting soul to bless.
And since He bids me seek His face,
Believe His Word and trust His grace,
I’ll cast on Him my every care,
And wait for thee, sweet hour of prayer!
Sweet hour of prayer! sweet hour of prayer!
May I thy consolation share,
Till, from Mount Pisgah’s lofty height,
I view my home and take my flight:
This robe of flesh I’ll drop and rise
To seize the everlasting prize;
And shout, while passing through the air,
“Farewell, farewell, sweet hour of prayer!”

Love & Prayers
