Have A Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! Believe and Not Have Seen Jesus!!!
John 20:29 Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
John 20:30 And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book:
John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
Hebrews 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Hebrews 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.
Hebrews 2:16 For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.
Hebrews 2:17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.
Hebrews 2:18 For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
We all can use more Faith. When Jesus was here with his disciples he had a few times told them about their lack of faith, and they were with him daily. So I am sure if they needed more faith I believe we all need more faith, well I do.
In Matthew 8 we see one time Jesus tells them about their need for more faith.
Matthew 8:23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.
Matthew 8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.
Matthew 8:25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.
Matthew 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
God wants us to have bigger, growing faith in Him. We also know this is true, because Jesus praised people who had great faith. We see this happening at least three or four times in the New Testament. For example, please listen to the Lord’s praise for a Roman soldier in Matthew 8:
Matthew 8:5 And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching him,
Matthew 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the palsy, grievously tormented.
Matthew 8:7 And Jesus saith unto him, I will come and heal him.
Matthew 8:8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
Matthew 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.
Matthew 8:10 When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.
TRUST JESUS HE CAME TO SAVE US:
*We are all born with a sin nature because of Adam and Eve and Satan.
*Nobody can make it to Heaven on their own. Our very best is as filthy rags; so even if we did our very best everyday we would still not get there.(and I know I don’t do my very best everyday).
*Jesus Came here God, but born of a virgin as a man at 33years old went to the cross. He was beaten, spit upon, his beard plucked from his face, a crown of thorns put on his head(you can be sure it wasn’t gently). He was nailed to the cross and his blood spilled for our sins.
*Without Jesus as our Savior we will go to hell.
JESUS AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOR
*We receive His power, because we receive Him. The Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ comes to live in us.
1John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
*Only Jesus Christ can give us that power, because He has the power! So don’t underestimate the devil. Revelation 20:10 tells us that one day the devil will be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone for all eternity.
Revelation 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.
Revelation 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
Revelation 20:11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them.
Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
*God wants us to trust Him more every day. And we should trust Jesus, because He came to take away our sin and save us. He would have it that nobody goes to hell.
But also trust in the Lord, because He came to deliver sinners.
We in this time have faith without sight which is pleasing to our Lord. To believe and trust without asking for a sign or to see Jesus is a pleasant thing unto Jesus Christ our Lord.
Years I spent in vanity and pride,
Caring not my Lord was crucified,
Knowing not it was for me He died
On Calvary. Mercy there was great, and grace was free;
Pardon there was multiplied to me;
There my burdened soul found liberty,
By God’s Word at last my sin I learned;
Then I trembled at the law I’d spurned,
Till my guilty soul imploring turned
Now I’ve giv’n to Jesus everything,
Now I gladly own Him as my King,
Now my raptured soul can only sing
Oh, the love that drew salvation’s plan!
Oh, the grace that brought it down to man!
Oh, the mighty gulf that God did span
