I am Glad Brother Lou Didn’t Give Up

john-6-37

Have A Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! What If My Brother Lou Just Gave Up!!!

John 1:34 And I saw, and bare record that this is the Son of God.
John 1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
John 1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!
John 1:37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
John 1:38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,) where dwellest thou?
John 1:39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
John 1:40 One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother.
John 1:41 He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ.
John 1:42 And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
John 1:43 The day following Jesus would go forth into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith unto him, Follow me.
John 1:44 Now Philip was of Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.
John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
John 1:46 And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.
John 1:47 Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
John 1:48 Nathanael saith unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.
John 1:49 Nathanael answered and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.
Joh 1:50 Jesus answered and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest thou? thou shalt see greater things than these.
John 1:51 And he saith unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man.

Have you ever thought what you would like said at your funeral?
Some people may say that “I was a good person”, “I was loving and Kind”, “I was a giving person” all them are nice, but thats not what gets us to Heaven now put saved and a child of the Most High God, and what a testimony. I had the priviledge to go to a Great Brother in the Lord’s funeral a while back, This brother loved the Lord. He could be tough when need be, and sometimes just his way,; however NOBODY could ever accuse him that he didn’t love the Lord and didn’t live his life for the Lord. He must have had if not 1000 people at his service close to it. People from all around came to mourn, say words, or hug his family. Many different things were said for Brother Lou.
One thing not said was too bad he didn’t know the Lord. He had sadness in his life at times, as we all do. However he never sat on his backside and said Lord “I am giving up your failing me”. He kept going. He leaves behind a family serving the Lord, loving the Lord, are they perfect YES…sorry No none of us are perfect. However no matter what is causing our sadness, our tough times, we need to look to the Lord and ask him “Lord what do you want me to do”. You can even say “Lord I am not liking this situation, help me through this”. The legacy my Brother Lou has left is amazing; now can you image if he gave up when things got tough. He has two sons both are Preachers, He has a Christian Academy educating how many children keeping them out of Public School (I worked in public school I can atest to the filth taught and done in the public school system). He has many grandchildren being raised in Christian schools, and homes. My three grandchildren go to that School and I am grateful my Brother Lou didn’t just give up.
Some may say well I can’t do all that. The Lord isn’t expecting us to do all that, but he doesn’t want us to just stop. When sadness sets in we need to open our Bible, pray, talk to the Father. If we have no energy left, call upon a Brother a Sister, a Pastor. We are suppose to edify one another I am sure there is someone we can call upon and say I NEED YOU TODAY!!
How do you want to be remembered? Not that we need to please people, but when we stand before our Father, do we want to be ashamed or do we want to hear “Well done”. Do we want People to remember us as someone who Loved the lord or someone who was giving up on the Father at every turn.
Matthew 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.

John 6:32 Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread from heaven; but my Father giveth you the true bread from heaven.
John 6:33 For the bread of God is he which cometh down from heaven, and giveth life unto the world.
John 6:34 Then said they unto him, Lord, evermore give us this bread.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
John 6:36 But I said unto you, That ye also have seen me, and believe not.
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
John 6:38 For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.
John 6:39 And this is the Father’s will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.
John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

SWEET BY AND BY
There’s a land that is fairer than day,
And by faith we can see it afar;
For the Father waits over the way
To prepare us a dwelling place there.

In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore;
In the sweet by and by,
We shall meet on that beautiful shore.
We shall sing on that beautiful shore
The melodious songs of the blessed;
And our spirits shall sorrow no more,
Not a sigh for the blessing of rest.
To our bountiful Father above,
We will offer our tribute of praise
For the glorious gift of His love
And the blessings that hallow our days.

SHALL WE GATHER AT THE RIVER
Shall we gather at the river,
Where bright angel feet have trod,
With its crystal tide forever
Flowing by the throne of God?
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.
On the margin of the river,
Washing up its silver spray,
We will talk and worship ever,
All the happy golden day.
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.
Ere we reach the shining river,
Lay we every burden down;
Grace our spirits will deliver,
And provide a robe and crown.
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.
At the smiling of the river,
Mirror of the Savior’s face,
Saints, whom death will never sever,
Lift their songs of saving grace.
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.
Soon we’ll reach the silver river,
Soon our pilgrimage will cease;
Soon our happy hearts will quiver
With the melody of peace.
Yes, we’ll gather at the river,
The beautiful, the beautiful river;
Gather with the saints at the river
That flows by the throne of God.

Love and Prayers
