A Promise and A Prayer!!!

Proverbs 22 6

Have A Wonderful and Blessed Weekend!!! A Promise and A Prayer!!!

A Precious Promise;
Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 23:24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.
Proverbs 23:25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

The Lord is so good to us, much better than we even deserve. He paid our sin debt in full, he supplies our every need. Then he promises us if we train our children in the way he should go he will not depart from it when he is old. This is or should be every parents concern. No parent wants to see that little child to fall into the world and stay there. I have two sons both spent some time in the world, in my head I knew their hearts had been broken. I also knew what the word of God said, man will hurt us and they knew that. Well the Lord kept his promise; one is a Pastor, one is a Deacon and will fill in the pulpit on occasion. Praise the Lord..Thank you Lord…

‘TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His word;
Just to rest upon His promise;
Just to know, Thus saith the Lord.
Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him,
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er,
Jesus, Jesus, Precious Jesus!
O for grace to trust Him more.
O how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
Just in simple faith to plunge me,
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood.
Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life, and rest, and joy, and peace.
I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

A Precious Prayer;
Psalm 3:1 LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
Psalm 3:2 Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
Psalm 3:3 But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
Psalm 3:4 I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
Psalm 3:5 I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
Psalm 3:6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
Psalm 3:7 Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
Psalm 3:8 Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.
David was asking for the LORD to protect him. He wanted his enemies to stay away. The LORD did answer David’s prayer.

A MIGHTY FORTRESS
A mighty Fortress is our God,
A Bulwark never failing;
Our Helper He amid the flood
Of mortal ills prevailing:
For still our ancient foe
Doth seek to work us woe;
His craft and power are great,
And, armed with cruel hate,
On earth is not his equal.
Did we in our own strength confide,
Our striving would be losing;
Were not the right Man on our side,
The Man of God’s own choosing:
Dost ask who that may be?
Christ Jesus, it is He;
Lord Sabaoth His Name,
From age to age the same,
And He must win the battle.
And though this world, with devils filled,
Should threaten to undo us,
We will not fear, for God hath willed
His truth to triumph through us:
The Prince of Darkness grim,
We tremble not for him;
His rage we can endure,
For lo! his doom is sure,
One little word shall fell him.
That word above all earthly powers,
No thanks to them, abideth;
The Spirit and the gifts are ours
Through Him who with us sideth:
Let goods and kindred go,
This mortal life also;
The body they may kill:
God’s truth abideth still,
His Kingdom is forever.

Love and Prayers
