HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!

memorial day Jesus Christ our Lord

Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! Happy Memorial Day!!!

Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Romans 8:30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
Romans 8:36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Romans 8:37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
Romans 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Memorial Day is simply put, about remembering – memorializing those individuals, men and women who have given their lives in the service of this country. Memorials without regular attention fall into oblivion. They become forgotten in memory and overgrown in reality.
But the memorial which is not forgotten allows us many benefits. Memorials are an opportunity to remember our past, learn from our history, process our grief and contemplate our future.
Sadly our Country is already in the process of changing our history. Many want to take away our history, heritage for many reasons. I pray people will stand up and not allow this to happen.
MEMORIAL DAY ALLOWS US TO REMEMBER WITHOUT WORDS!!!
A. We are not left to our own resources
1. Memorials are all about the impact that others have made on our way of life
2. They have given so that we have what we have today –
FREEDOM, LIBERTY, and SAFETY.
Men and Women have fought hard to give us these things. However these days some of these things we are beginning to lose because of our own lack of empathy, and heart. Many are being offended at things of God so they are giving up rights that Soldiers, strong and brave men have fought so hard for.
Men and Women have protected our borders for our Protection and Peace and now it is considered hate, so what many gave their lives for are free game.
What Men and Women have fought so hard for, gave their lives for is no longer important to so many, and this is very sad!!
Sadly many look at the one who gave his all for the world and make a mokery of him also. His name is Jesus!!!
He is one who gave his life for the world for all races, all denominations, all men, women, all who have breath. He had no sin, no spot, no blemish, and yet took on the sins of everyone; went to the cross and died carring each and every sin ever committed into the pits of hell.
LETS REMEMBER HIM ON THIS MEMORIAL DAY

B. God has provided His Spirit as a resource
1. We need the resource of the Spirit because we are weak.
a) The word means always weak
(1) The word means someone helping another carry a heavy load
(2) Our heavy load is knowing what we should pray, but not being able to pray it
b) Not just weak sometimes
2. The Spirit of God helps us by the fact that He:
a) Keeps on helping
b) Helps in our weakness
(1) Physical weakness
(2) Emotional weakness
(3) Spiritual weakness
3. The Spirit of God “intercedes for us
a) Means He approaches God for us
b) Means He appeals to God for us
4. Perceives our needs – knows by intuition
The efforts of the Holy Spirit in our lives are in full agreement with God the Father

A. The efforts of the Holy Spirit in our lives are in full agreement with God the Father
B. The things we go through may not be good themselves, but God uses them for good.

1.Perfection is God’s Ultimate good.
2. God’s goal is perfection.
C. God is working towards his ultimate good in us.
God is always at work in those who love Him.

CHERISH THE GIFT OF FREEDOM

Both what the soldiers have fought for us, and what Jesus did for us on the Cross!!!
1. God did not spare His own son from us, he gave up his son Jesus to pay our sin debt in full. WHY so we could have a home in heaven.
2. God will give us all things – pertaining to our conformity to Jesus
The Attacks against our freedom
1. The attack of the accuser (Satan)
a) Satan’s accusations are valid because they are based on our sinfulness.
b) God is the one who declares us not guilty of each accusation
(1) Based on the shed blood of Jesus
(2) Based on our salvation through faith in Jesus
JESUS IS BOTH OUR JUDGE AND JUSTIFIER!
Christ died for us
Christ rose for us
Christ intercedes for us

MEMORIAL DAY ALLOWS US TO RESPOND TO THE SACRIFICE
1. More than conquerors – we keep on being conquerors
2. We are convinced – we stand convinced
3. We are unseparated from the love of God in Christ

LETS REMEMBER TO THANK JESUS CHRIST WHO GAVE HIS LIFE FOR US.
LETS REMEMBER THE MEN AND WOMEN WHO FOUGHT FOR US GIVING UP LIFE AND LIMB TO PROTECT US WHILE HERE ON THIS EARTH!!!
But what this weekend is actually intended for it to remember. Thousands upon thousands of men and women have given their very lives for the freedom that we enjoy. If had not been for them, we might not even be able to meet in a church as a congregated body of believers.
So let’s pause for a moment and remember those who have died in service to our country, our freedom, our security, and our choices. Not everyone in the world has the privileges that we have. We have them because of the lives that have been offered.
So today we honor and thank the men and women who have given their all for us. If you have a relative that served our country and have since passed away, would you please stand.
We thank them and we honor their service.
But let us not forget to remember the ultimate price that was paid by Jesus Christ who died on a cruel cross for the forgiveness of our sins, who set the example for us, who was crucified, died, was buried, and arose on the third day that we may have the promise of eternal life.
These we remember today.
BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC
Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored,
He has loosed the fateful lightning of His terrible swift sword
His truth is marching on.

Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps
They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps
I can read His righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps
His day is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
I have read a fiery gospel writ in burnish`d rows of steel,
“As ye deal with my contemnors, so with you my grace shall deal;”
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel
Since God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
He has sounded from the trumpet that shall never call retreat
He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment-seat
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer Him! Be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.
In the beauty of the lilies Christ was born across the sea,
With a glory in His bosom that transfigures you and me:
As He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
Glory! Glory! Hallelujah!
His truth is marching on.

ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe;
Forward into battle see His banners go!
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
At the sign of triumph Satan’s host doth flee;
On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory!
Hell’s foundations quiver at the shout of praise;
Brothers lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Like a mighty army moves the church of God;
Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod.
We are not divided, all one body we,
One in hope and doctrine, one in charity.
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
What the saints established that I hold for true.
What the saints believèd, that I believe too.
Long as earth endureth, men the faith will hold,
Kingdoms, nations, empires, in destruction rolled.
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane,
But the church of Jesus constant will remain.
Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail;
We have Christ’s own promise, and that cannot fail.
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.
Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng,
Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song.
Glory, laud and honor unto Christ the King,
This through countless ages men and angels sing.
Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war,
With the cross of Jesus going on before.

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
