A PROMISE AND A PRAYER!!!

Have A Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! A Promise And A Prayer!!!

Happy Fathers Day

A Precious Promise;

A PRECIOUS PROMISE;

Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.

Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

Isaiah 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Keep in mind this is in the old testament and he is giving us the promise of eternal life through his son Jesus Christ. He is telling of the coming of a man, who will be wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities. His death is the only way to heaven, nothing we can do on our own. How come after all he has done for us it is so difficult to live for him, to give our all for him, to put him above all else? We need to get our priorities in order NOW!!!

He is so Wonderful, so Good to us, far better than any of us deserve.

DAY BY DAY

Day by day, and with each passing moment,
Strength I find to meet my trials here;
Trusting in my Father’s wise bestowment,
I’ve no cause for worry or for fear.
He, whose heart is kind beyond all measure,
Gives unto each day what He deems best,
Lovingly its part of pain and pleasure,
Mingling toil with peace and rest.

Every day the Lord Himself is near me,
With a special mercy for each hour;
All my cares He fain would bear and cheer me,
He whose name is Counsellor and Pow’r.
The protection of His child and treasure
Is a charge that on Himself He laid;
“As thy days, thy strength shall be in measure,”
This the pledge to me He made.

Help me then, in every tribulation,
So to trust Thy promises, O Lord,
That I lose not faith’s sweet consolation,
Offered me within Thy holy Word.
Help me, Lord, when toil and trouble meeting,
E’er to take, as from a father’s hand,
One by one, the days, the moments fleeting,
Till with Christ the Lord I stand.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER;

Ezra 7:27 Blessed be the LORD God of our fathers, which hath put such a thing as this in the king’s heart, to beautify the house of the LORD which is in Jerusalem:

Ezra 7:28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king’s mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I gathered together out of Israel chief men to go up with me.

This is Ezra giving thanksgiving unto the LORD. Sometimes when we are driving, just sitting, maybe doing a puzzle, or sitting at the doctors office; we need pray and thank the Lord for what we have, getting us somewhere safe, if outdoors for the creation. Isn’t it nice when our children, spouse, family member talk to us, call us just to say I love you and thank you. Instead of wanting us when needing something. Our Lord loves us and I am sure loves to hear from us just to hear thank you, I love you, what can I do for you today.

THANK YOU LORD

Some thank the Lord for friends and home
For mercies sure and sweet
But I would praise Him for his grace
In prayer I would repeat

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

Some thank Him for the flow’rs that grow
Some for the stars that shine
My heart is filled with joy and praise
Because I know He’s mine

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

I trust in Him from day to day
I prove His saving grace
I’ll sing this song of praise to Him
Until I see His face

Thank you, Lord, for saving my soul
Thank you, Lord, for making me whole
Thank you, Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and free

Love and Prayers

Cheryl
