A Promise and A Prayer :)

Good Morning!!! Have A Blessed Sunday!!! A Promise And A Prayer

Sunday blessing Joshua 24 15

A PRECIOUS PROMISE;

1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

1Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

We see here the Lord giving his word, Jesus is the only mediator. There is one God, we have no reason to be praying unto anyone else. Not only any reason to be praying unto anyone else, we are not suppose to be praying to anyone else, living, or dead. There also is no reason to be taking our sins, confessions to any man, Priest, Pastors and asking them to go to the Lord for us, we go to the Lord ourself for ourself. The Lord always gives us the truth, so who should we believe a man, or the Lord? We also see the Lord God would have ALL be saved, no matter what each one of us did he would have all come before him for salvation. The Lord is so Wonderful, so Good, full of grace, mercy, and longsuffering.

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,
The emblem of suffering and shame;
And I love that old cross where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,
Has a wondrous attraction for me;
For the dear Lamb of God left His glory above
To bear it to dark Calvary.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,
A wondrous beauty I see,
For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,
To pardon and sanctify me.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true;
Its shame and reproach gladly bear;
Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,
Where His glory forever I’ll share.

So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,
Till my trophies at last I lay down;
I will cling to the old rugged cross,
And exchange it some day for a crown.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER;

Luke 16:22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried;

Luke 16:23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Luke 16:24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

Luke 16:25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented.

Luke 16:26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence.

Luke 16:27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house:

Luke 16:28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment.

Luke 16:29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.

Luke 16:30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

We have another witness of hell, and someone who had all he wanted in his life and felt no need for the LORD. His love was for money, riches, the world, he rejected the LORD. It is sad because often times this is reality if someone has all they want they reject the Lord, they fall in love with riches often times loving the world more than even their own family. The beggar who could have hated bitterly, he was blind, no place to sleep but the hard street, had to eat what the dogs left behind didn’t reject the LORD. How often when our life is running smooth do we forget our Precious Lord? If we are saved we are still saved but we will suffer loss. However if we are not saved we will suffer the torments of hell for all eternity for rejecting Jesus Christ, and what he did on the Cross.

THERE’S ROOM AT THE CROSS FOR YOU

The cross upon which Jesus died
Is a shelter in which we can hide
And its grace so free is sufficient for me
And deep is its fountain as wide as the sea.

There’s room at the cross for you
There’s room at the cross for you
Though millions have come, there’s still room for one
Yes there’s room at the cross for you.

Though millions have found him a friend
And have turned from the sins they have sinned
The Savior still waits to open the gates
And welcome a sinner before it’s too late.

There’s room at the cross for you
There’s room at the cross for you
Though millions have come, there’s still room for one
Yes there’s room at the cross for you.

The hand of my Savior is strong
And the love of my Savior is long
Through sunshine or rain, through loss or in gain,
The blood flows from Calvary to cleanse every stain.

There’s room at the cross for you
There’s room at the cross for you
Though millions have come, there’s still room for one
Yes there’s room at the cross for you.

Love and Prayers

Cheryl
