A Precious Promise and A Precious Prayer!!!

Saturday blessed 1 corinthians 16 13

Have a Wonderful and Blessed Weekend!!! A Promise and A Prayer!!!

A Precious promise From Our Lord;

Exodus 20:12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

With the start of the fifth commandment, we see a promise the Lord has given to us put in with a commandment. It is a proper relationship with our Mother and Father, it is to honour them. It is to children and it says to honour our parents that thy days be long upon the earth. This includes respect to their persons (esteeming them inwardly and out, expressed by our conduct toward them), Obedience to their lawful commands, submission to their instructions (rebukes and corrections), trying to be a comfort and help.

Proverbs 23:22 Hearken unto thy father that begat thee, and despise not thy mother when she is old.

Proverbs 23:23 Buy the truth, and sell it not; also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.

Proverbs 23:24 The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him.

Proverbs 23:25 Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice.

Proverbs 23:26 My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

His promise is based on obedience and he never tells us only if they were nice, sweet, and fair. He just tells us to Honour them.

A CHRISTIAN HOME

O give us homes built firm upon the Saviour,
Where Christ is Head, and Counsellor and Guide;
Where ev’ry child is taught His love and favor
And gives his heart to Christ, the crucified:
How sweet to know that tho’ his footsteps waver
His faithful Lord is walking by his side!

O give us homes with godly fathers, mothers,
Who always place their hope and trust in Him;
Whose tender patience turmoil never bothers,
Whose calm and courage trouble cannot dim;
A home where each finds joy in serving others,
And love still shines, tho’ days be dark and grim.

O give us homes where Christ is Lord and Master,
The Bible read, the precious hymns still sung;
Where prayer comes first in peace or in disaster,
And praise is natural speech to ev’ry tongue;
Where mountains move before a faith that’s vaster,
And Christ sufficient is for old and young.

O Lord, our God, our homes are Thine forever!
We trust to Thee their problems, toil, and care;
Their bonds of love no enemy can sever
If Thou art always Lord and Master there:
Be Thou the center of our least endeavor:
Be Thou our Guest, our hearts and homes to share.

Precious Prayers Found In The Word Of God;

Job 40:3 Then Job answered the LORD, and said,

Job 40:4 Behold, I am vile; what shall I answer thee? I will lay mine hand upon my mouth.

Job 40:5 Once have I spoken; but I will not answer: yea, twice; but I will proceed no further.

Job is praying to the Lord and confessing his sins, his faults. He is taking his wrong against the Lord very serious. Thats what we all need to do.

THE CLEANSING WAVE

Oh, now I see the *crimson wave!
The fountain deep and wide;
Jesus, my Lord, mighty to save,
Points to His wounded side.

The cleansing stream I see, I see!
I plunge, and, oh, it cleanseth me!
Oh, praise the Lord, it cleanseth me!
It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

I see the new creation rise,
I hear the speaking blood;
It speaks, polluted nature dies,
Sinks ’neath the cleansing flood.

I rise to walk in Heav’n’s own light,
Above the world and sin,
With heart made pure and garments white,
And Christ enthroned within.

Amazing grace! ’tis Heav’n below
To feel the blood applied,
And Jesus, only Jesus know,
My Jesus crucified.

The cleansing stream I see, I see!

I plunge, and, oh, it cleanseth me!

Oh, praise the Lord, it cleanseth me!

It cleanseth me, yes, cleanseth me.

Love and Prayers
