Be Content With What We Have!!!

Saturday dear FRIENDS

Good Morning!!!! Have A Wonderful Day!!!! Be Content

The Pitfalls Of Covetousness; The Lord tells us to be content where we are and with what we have. However like many other things our beloved Lord tells us it goes in one ear and out the other; this is because we know much more than our Lord he who created all we see, all we have, the air we breath, he hung the stars, he holds the planets including ours in place, he defeated death (he alone did that). Even though he knows our every need before we do, and what will help us better than we know ourselves we see something and want it, lust after it, and cry and throw tantrums if it doesn’t happen. Having what everyone else has is instilled at very young ages. I remember being a little girl winning a sucker an ordinary little sucker at Sunday school for knowing a Bible Verse, and I got the prize. I got in the car and My Mom was so mad “How dare the teacher give one sucker when knowing we have 4children” she said “Cheryl you either share that 4ways or throw it out the window” I gave it to the other three. I in no way say that to say “I never have lusted after what others have” I also have learned the hard way it causes pain when we step out of what the Lord wants for us as individuals.
In 1Timothy Paul warns us to beware of people of people who think being godly will make us rich physically for it doesn’t it may but not always. However it will make us rich spiritually. Some things do make us sad when we look at others and see what they have and its missing from our life. It may be marriage, love, health, children, saved family. Sometimes we are not blessed in these areas because the Lord is trying to grow us for other things and we need to trust him. Sometimes the Lord is trying to grow us spiritually stronger maybe it is a missionary in the future and you need your heart prepared. Sometimes it may be you will be the one he wants to be helping the families within your church home for awhile, and maybe its not something we will never know the reason for.
Have you ever watched a child throwing a fit over “I want what Billy has and i want it now” “I want my turn before Susie and I want my turn now” it can take the most beautiful lovable child and make them look like a spoiled unlikable little brat real quick. Its no different for us as adults. Just as the other children will not want to play with the “unlikable” children the adults will avoid us. Its not always easy, not always the first thing we jump at doing but learn to trust before questioning the Lord. Learn to be content before incontent.

Godliness NOT gold brings CONTENTMENT!!!!!
We are here to serve and glorify the Lord not the other way around.

HOW GREAT THOU ART
Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works thy hand hath made,
I see the stars, I hear the mighty thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed;
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander
and hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
when I look down from lofty mountain grandeur,
and hear the brook, and feel he gentle breeze;
And when I think that God his son not sparing,
Sent him to die – I scarce can take it in,
That on the cross my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home- what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration
And there proclaim, my God, how great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee,
How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!“
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
“Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
