After Salvation we do become a new creature according to:

2Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
2Co 5:18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
We however must keep in mind we are still in the flesh. Therefore we need to be wise in what we do, where we go, what we allow in our lives. We need to realize the world doesn’t look at us as the Father looks at us. We are suppose to look at them in a loving way no matter what they are saying or doing to us. My son reminded me one day as I was very upset over some behaviors with some lost people. “Mom you need to realize they are lost and need Jesus you can’t expect them to walk around like they are saved”; how true a statement.
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
The world watches us very carefully, and sees all we do. We are not to allow our forgiveness as an excuse as a permisson slip to sin. We are held accountable not to sin. We should not want to sin against our Precious Savior after all he has done for us.

We are in a fight in this world and not with flesh and blood but with:
Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Because of this we need to be at attention at all times and not let our guard down.

We have principalities of the air watching and the lost watching. The lost will use any excuse to not come to Jesus and let it not be us who gives them that excuse. The lost will use any excuse to not live for Jesus and honestly it doesn’t matter they are lost.
Something else that will show us as Christians and disciples of the Lord is our love one for another.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Let not the world hear us battle each other. Let not the world hear us rip one another apart. We need to show them we are different. Some Christians behave worse than the lost.
1Corinthians 6:1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints?
1Corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?
1Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?
1Corinthians 6:4 If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the church.
1Corinthians 6:5 I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? no, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren?
1Corinthians 6:6 But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers.
1Corinthians 6:7 Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded?
1Corinthians 6:8 Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.
1Corinthians 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1Corinthians 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
1Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
1Corinthians 6:12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
1Corinthians 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.
1Corinthians 6:14 And God hath both raised up the Lord, and will also raise up us by his own power.
1Corinthians 6:15 Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ? shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot? God forbid.
1Corinthians 6:16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? for two, saith he, shall be one flesh.
1Corinthians 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
1Co 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1Corinthians 6:19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
1Corinthians6:20 For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Here Jesus gives us an apologetic we seem to have lost sight of. One of the blessings that come with God’s people loving one another is that those who are not God’s people are better able to recognize God’s people. It blesses those within the church and those without the church. Better still, it shows forth His glory. We, on the other hand, would rather argue worldviews, amass compelling evidence, make bold prophetic statements. What God would rather have us do is to love one another. God would rather we do the hard thing, for that is where the power is.
It is fine to have big discussions but not in front of the lost, not with baby Christians.

The watching world affirms that what makes Christians so reprehensible is our hypocrisy. They see us sin, while believing we believe that we don’t sin. “Christians aren’t perfect, just forgiven.” We’re not perfect. We are forgiven. But the forgiveness we have from the Father works itself out, when we in turn forgive others. The fruit of forgiveness received is forgiveness given. How many times does Jesus remind us of this connection? We who have been forgiven much manifest that truth in forgiving others. We are suppose to be forgiving but often times we are not forgiving and the world sees that.

When Paul does describe love for us, we see much the same. Love suffers long, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, and bears all things. “If I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing”.

A very wise man once said, “Never ask God for justice. He might just give it to you.” What defines us is that we are a people who have been given grace. We were not only given the grace of forgiveness, but were given the grace of repentance. As we keep our sins ever before us, we will see His forgiveness ever before us. We need to realize as we look towards our Brothers and Sisters that yes they have sin but so do we.

A day will come by God’s grace when the Church won’t be known for hypocrisy. We won’t be defined by if we consume alcohol, listen to secular music, or dance. Our reputation won’t be built around the things that we are against. A day will come when we are no longer recognized by the bumper stickers on the backs of our cars. A day will come when Jesus promise will be fulfilled, that the world will know that we are His by our love one for another. That love will show itself the same way God’s love for us is shown, in our zeal to forgive one another. Our love for the lost, our love for our Precious Savior.
