Are We Listening to The Lord?

thursday psalm 56 3

Have A Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! We Need To Listen!!!

Our Heavenly Father Clearly Calls Us To Listen. We the children of the mighty God, our Father as the nation of Israel choose to ignore his voice, and miss his blessings, and his help. We often times feel learning to listen and wait is too much and takes to long, so instead we say a quick prayer hear nothing and go ahead with our own plan.
Just as a two-way conversation is vital in any good, healthy, loving relationship it is just as vital in a relationship with our Lord.

We need to take time in quiet with our Bible open in our laps and wait to hear from the Lord. Do this without distraction, no phone, NO TELEVISION, no come on Lord I have things to do. Sometimes we have the notion that after being saved, we just automatically know Him. But that is not true in any kind of relationship. Right after our wedding vows it is so vital to take time with each other to listen, to talk, to make time for each other. When dating we are different, after marriage we tend to become who we really are and we need to work through that. Just as we grow to know another person through communication, so we become more intimately acquainted with the Lord through listening and talking to Him.

Have you ever considered that neglect of God’s Word is a rejection of Him? If your spouse continually had other things to do when you wanted to discuss something very important how would you take that? Well Our Lord wants us to listen to him, he wants us to be in subjection to him. He gives us a free will he wants us to be willing on our own to sit and listen. He could and has the ability to sit us down and make us listen. However he wants us to want to listen. If you had to tie up your spouse in order to have him/her listen it is not the same, it is not love. It would not make you feel as if you are important, loved, or anything you have to say is important.

START TODAY TAKE TIME SIT SOMEWHERE WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS OPEN THE BIBLE HIS WORD AND TALK TO THE FATHER AND WAIT FOR HIM TO TALK TO YOU. LOVE HIM BACK, LISTEN AS HE LISTENS TO YOU!!!!

STANDING ON THE PROMISES

Standing on the promises of Christ my King,
Through eternal ages let His praises ring,
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises that cannot fail,
When the howling storms of doubt and fear assail,
By the living Word of God I shall prevail,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises I now can see
Perfect, present cleansing in the blood for me;
Standing in the liberty where Christ makes free,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises of Christ the Lord,
Bound to Him eternally by love’s strong cord,
Overcoming daily with the Spirit’s sword,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.
Standing on the promises I cannot fall,
Listening every moment to the Spirit’s call
Resting in my Savior as my all in all,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, standing,
Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing,
I’m standing on the promises of God.

THE VOICE OF GOD CALLING
The voice of God is calling
its summons in our day;
Isaiah heard in Zion,
and we now hear God say:
“Whom shall I send to succor
my people in their need?
Whom shall I send to loosen
the bonds of shame and greed?
“I hear my people crying
in slum and mine and mill;
no field or mart is silent,
no city street is still.
I see my people falling
in darkness and despair.
Whom shall I send to shatter
the fetters which they bear?”
We heed, O Lord, your summons,
and answer: Here are we!
Send us upon your errand,
let us your servants be.
Our strength is dust and ashes,
our years a passing hour;
but you can use our weakness
to magnify your power.
From ease and plenty save us;
from pride of place absolve;
purge us of low desire;
lift us to high resolve;
take us, and make us holy;
teach us your will and way.
Speak, and behold! we answer;
command, and we obey!

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
