Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Viruses and Sin!!!
One Sin Can Lead To Many Just As A Virus Can Lead To More In One Body; I have an illness called Gillian-Barre it starts as a virus and can move through the body causing havoc on nerves throughout the whole body. It has effected the nerves in my legs, arms, hands, round my heart, my lungs, my throat.
Well just as this awful illness can wreak havoc throughout my body, (and some with this have had it much worse) one sin can wreak havoc on a whole family, a whole Church family, one sin can cause much destruction. Some may think “one sin can not cause that much damage” if we look at the cell of a virus often times they are so small they care hard to see under a microscope, but can turn someone’s life upside down. When we look at where some destructive sin has began it started as a tiny little “harmless” word, touch, a bit too long glance and maybe not even intended as a future “all points way past the no turning back” sin.
Knowing that God sees and does not forget our service of love, both
past and present, should help us feel spiritually secure. However remember he also knows our heart when we have ulterior motives behind the kind, “harmless” little things we do. The tiny little “viruses” that we start off with, that spread into full body involvement and we begin to lose all the things most important to us. The most difficult part is when we lose our testimony, and our walk with our Precious Savior, to be separated from our Lord is the toughest part. It makes me very sad that with this illness I can’t get out to serve the Lord like I used to. I can’t take care of my Grandbabies like I want to, and was used to.
Yet as wonderful are the character and promises of God, we are not to take them for granted. He does forgive our sins, and as his children we have been forgiven, we can’t use it as an occasion to sin. We can’t look at our life and say I am born-again I will go to Heaven no matter what I do. If this our heart attitude we may want to look at our hearts. Don’t take a little sin and feel I am ok as long as it is just a “little” sin. My virus was just a “little cell” at the start. Now it has caused much damage to my body.
Remember all sin is wrong don’t look at others and say “well I am far better than they are”; No we all fall sort. We need to compare ourselves to Jesus.
Have you fled to Jesus for refuge? Is He your “hope”, your “anchor of
the soul, both sure and steadfast”? Is He your “High Priest”? If so,
then let these words sink deep into your heart:
TRUST, AND OBEY FOR THOSE NO OTHER WAY TO BE HAPPY IN JESUS. REMEMBER IF YOU FEEL THE NEED TO JUST SIN A LITTLE TAKE A LONG HARD LOOK AT YOUR HEART. AVOID ALL APPEARANCES OF EVIL, AVOID PLACES WHERE YOU ARE GOING TO BE TEMPTED.THE WORLD KEEPS A GOOD EYE ON US JUST TO PROVE THEMSELVES TO BE JUSTIFIED.
Hebrews 5:11 Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.
Hebrews 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
Hebrews 5:13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.
Hebrews 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
Hebrews 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
Hebrews 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Hebrews 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:
Hebrews 8:11 And they shall not teach every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest.
Hebrews 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Hebrews 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.
Acts 10:1 There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band,
Acts 10:2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway.
Acts 10:3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
Acts 10:4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
Acts 10:5 And now send men to Joppa, and call for one Simon, whose surname is Peter:
Acts 10:6 He lodgeth with one Simon a tanner, whose house is by the sea side: he shall tell thee what thou oughtest to do.
2Peter 1:1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
2Peter 1:2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
2Peter 1:3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
2Peter 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
2Peter 1:5 And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
2Peter 1:6 And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;
2Peter 1:7 And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
2Peter 1:8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
2Peter 1:9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
2Peter 1:10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2Peter 1:11 For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
2Peter 1:12 Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
2Peter 1:13 Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance;
2Peter 1:14 Knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath shewed me.
Romans 2:7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:
Romans 2:8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,
Romans 2:9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;
Romans 2:10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:
Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.
MY SOUL BE ON THY GUARD
My soul, be on thy guard;
Ten thousand foes arise;
The hosts of sin are pressing hard
To draw thee from the skies.
O watch, and fight, and pray;
The battle ne’er give o’er;
Renew it boldly every day,
And help divine implore.
Never think the victory won,
Nor lay thine armor down;
The work of faith will not be done,
Till thou obtain the crown.
Fight on, my soul, till death
Shall bring thee to thy God;
He’ll take thee, at thy parting breath,
To His divine abode.
HOLD THE FORT
Ho, my comrades, see the signal, waving in the sky!
Reinforcements now appearing, victory is nigh.
“Hold the fort, for I am coming,” Jesus signals still;
Wave the answer back to Heaven, “By Thy grace we will.”
See the mighty host advancing, Satan leading on;
Mighty ones around us falling, courage almost gone!
See the glorious banner waving! Hear the trumpet blow!
In our Leader’s Name we triumph over every foe.
Fierce and long the battle rages, but our help is near;
Onward comes our great Commander, cheer, my comrades, cheer!
Love and Prayers
