Troubles and Trials!!!

Morning blessings

Have A Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! Trials and Troubles!!!

What Has A Stronghold On Your Heart; Lets think for a few minutes about the things troubling us. It maybe financial needs, bad relationship, difficult relationship, a awful illness, perhaps lost family making some things difficult. Then we read John 14:1: “Let not your heart be troubled” we know it but in difficult circumstances it just seems so far away.

However, remember Jesus isn’t saying “OK enough put on your happy face and stop” he knows we are in a difficult situation, but he doesn’t want the anxiety, sadness, trouble to overtake us. Yes, we will experience trials, we are not in Heaven yet. Keep in mind no where in his word does he promise no trials, no heartache, no problems here. His promise is through the power of the Holy Spirit, we can endure struggles with the peace of Christ. His promise is never to leave us or forsake us.

We wonder in our mind, how do we move from overwhelming distress to undisturbed tranquility? Begin by focusing immediately on the Lord, not on the circumstance, trusting Him to help you through it, and HE WILL. Read the Scriptures, and pray ask the Lord what you can learn from this trial. This is a good time to search out His promises and see all the beautiful and precious promises he has made to us. Then believe the Lord and do whatever He says, because you can never have His peace without obedience. And lastly, present your troubles to the Lord in prayer, not just with requests for their removal, but with thanks for His strength to endure them. Trials can bring BEAUTIFUL BLESSINGS!!!!!

I know in my own life I have wasted way too much time feeling sorry for myself and complaining at times. That is not why we are here.

John 14:1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
John 14:24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.
John 14:25 These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you.
John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
John 14:28 Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I.

2Corinthians 1:2 Grace be to you and peace from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
2Corinthians 1:3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort;
2Corinthians 1:4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.
2Corinthians 1:5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.
2Corinthians 1:6 And whether we be afflicted, it is for your consolation and salvation, which is effectual in the enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer: or whether we be comforted, it is for your consolation and salvation.

COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS
When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

WE GATHER TOGETHER
We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
he chastens and hastens his will to make known;
the wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praises to his name; he forgets not his own.
Beside us to guide us, our God with us joining,
ordaining, maintaining his kingdom divine;
so from the beginning the fight we were winning;
thou, Lord, wast at our side; all glory be thine!
We all do extol thee, thou leader triumphant,
and pray that thou still our defender wilt be.
Let thy congregation escape tribulation;
thy name be ever praised! O Lord, make us free!

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
