Let Us Not Be Weary!!!

Friday blessings God bless you.jpg

Have a Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! And Let Us Not Be Weary In Well Doing!!!

Galatians 6:6 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
Galatians 6:10 As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

In our scripture this morning, Paul encourages us in that same way. He realizes that we will get tired in this Christian life and uses part of the last chapter of Galatians to encourage us to stay the course. This life can wear us out and wear us down. We may labor for years without knowing the results of our work. And we grow weary thinking that non-visible results mean no results. We may think God, were sowing but there doesn’t seem to be any reaping. It’s like we are banging our head against the wall. What’s the use? This is the enemy trying to persuade us to give up. It is the stress of this world and the sins thereof saying “It is not worth it”.

Keep in mind sin is rampant in our world, where there is sin, there is heartache, sadness, death, darkness, and yes these things will knock us off our feet. These things will make us question our worth, our work, our life. When the Lord tells us there are those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature, and will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone. Also don’t be looking around waiting for the thanks, pat on the back, and the rewards right now.

We see in 2 Thessalonians 3:13-15 Paul writes:

2Thessalonians 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.
2Thessalonians 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.
2Thessalonians 3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

Dear Brothers and Sisters, never get tired of doing good.

Why do we get weary from doing the Lord’s work

There are at least four reasons we grow weary.
⦁ We can’t see results.
⦁ We start listening to the world.. Do not let the lethargy of others cause you to tire of doing Good.
⦁ Criticism from others.
⦁ We lose sight of the sowing and reaping law of God.
Why we Need to Stay Focused On The Lord
⦁ He gives us Comfort when weary.
⦁ We can serve Our Lord Better. That’s why we are here.
⦁ When focus is on our Precious Lord we aren’t thinking of our self.

When we have been weary, downhearted and then the Lord does something for us, it truly brightens us up. It warms our hearts, so lets get our Eyes back on the Prize….

Philippians 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Philippians 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

IS YOUR ALL ON THE ALTAR

You have longed for sweet peace,
And for faith to increase,
And have earnestly, fervently prayed;
But you cannot have rest,
Or be perfectly blest,
Until all on the altar is laid.
Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?
Your heart does the Spirit control?
You can only be blest,
And have peace and sweet rest,
As you yield Him your body and soul.
Would you walk with the Lord,
In the light of His word,
And have peace and contentment alway?
You must do His sweet will,
To be free from all ill,
On the altar your all you must lay.
Oh, we never can know
What the Lord will bestow
Of the blessings for which we have prayed,
Till our body and soul
He doth fully control,
And our all on the altar is laid.
Who can tell all the love
He will send from above,
And how happy our hearts will be made;
Of the fellowship sweet
We shall share at His feet,
When our all on the altar is laid.
Is your all on the altar of sacrifice laid?
Your heart does the Spirit control?
You can only be blest,
And have peace and sweet rest,
As you yield Him your body and soul.

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
