A Precious Promise and Prayer

Have A Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! A Promise And A Prayer!!!!

A PRECIOUS PROMISE;
Galatians 6:8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

“For by grace our ye saved”, and once we are saved we need to be sowing to the Spirit not the flesh. Lets put our heart and mind on the things of eternal. I understand we need to do things for this life, pay bills, family responsibilities etc…..However our main focus needs to be pleasing the Lord…reaching the lost…fellowship with the brethren…sowing to the Spirit. Let us not grow weary in well doing, let us not decide after a time “ok now it is time for me to sit back, and let the younger people take over”, we are never too old, too young to serve the Lord, to sow to the Spirit. I have heard of many who served the Lord right up until they went home to Heaven. These verses are promises from the Lord “we shall reap if we shall continue sowing”. Our Precious Lord is far better to us than we deserve!!!!

A PRECIOUS PRAYER;
Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Luke 23:46 And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

When we are feeling sorry for ourselves, or feel as if the Lord has forgotten us look upon these two verses. If we the children of God, of the Lord of lords. the King of kings, the Mighty God can ask forgiveness for these people who have just beaten him, spit upon him, mocked him, crucified him, pulled his beard from his face, died for their sins if he can forgive them while bleeding, suffering, dying on the cross. Why is it we his children do we question so much of his precious promises, love, salvation unto us his children? Why is it we can give up on this Precious Lord and follow the crowd so fast and leave him sometimes just over a prayer taking “to long being answered”, our child going the wrong way, our friend betraying us. Remember when bad things happen we live in a sin-cursed world, the Lord never promised no trials, no tribulations here. Don’t blame our Lord blame SIN, Blame this wicked world not the Lord……..

GLORY TO HIS NAME
Down at the cross where my Savior died,
Down where for cleansing from sin I cried,
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His Name!
I am so wondrously saved from sin,
Jesus so sweetly abides within;
There at the cross where He took me in;
Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His Name!
Oh, precious fountain that saves from sin,
I am so glad I have entered in;
There Jesus saves me and keeps me clean;
Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His Name!
Come to this fountain so rich and sweet,
Cast thy poor soul at the Savior’s feet;
Plunge in today, and be made complete;
Glory to His Name!
Glory to His Name, glory to His Name:
There to my heart was the blood applied;
Glory to His Name!

I AM HIS AND HE IS MINE
Loved with everlasting love, led by grace that love to know;
Gracious Spirit from above, Thou hast taught me it is so!
O this full and perfect peace! O this transport all divine!
In a love which cannot cease, I am His, and He is mine.
In a love which cannot cease, I am His, and He is mine.
Heav’n above is softer blue, Earth around is sweeter green!
Something lives in every hue Christless eyes have never seen;
Birds with gladder songs o’erflow, flowers with deeper beauties shine,
Since I know, as now I know, I am His, and He is mine.
Since I know, as now I know, I am His, and He is mine.
Things that once were wild alarms cannot now disturb my rest;
Closed in everlasting arms, pillowed on the loving breast.
O to lie forever here, doubt and care and self resign,
While He whispers in my ear, I am His, and He is mine.
While He whispers in my ear, I am His, and He is mine.
His forever, only His; Who the Lord and me shall part?
Ah, with what a rest of bliss Christ can fill the loving heart!
Heav’n and earth may fade and flee, firstborn light in gloom decline;
But while God and I shall be, I am His, and He is mine.
But while God and I shall be, I am His, and He is mine.

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
