Who Is Being Thanked!!!

Tuesday blessing Psalm 94

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Who Gets The Credit!!!

When we succeed at something, do well at something what is the first thing we say? I believe most of us too often are saying; “I did it”, “I won”. In Acts 12:23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost. This is speaking of Herod. How often could that been any one of us?

This whole world has become this way, they never recognize the Lord. You watch any interview political, sports or other (once in awhile someone may give God The credit) and the following is what we hear:
“I’ve made it because I worked hard and got the right breaks”. Pencils scribble on spiral pads, tape recorders are on, and cameras are clicking. Yet another success, attributed to the efforts of man that were better than average. Yet our Lord is never spoken of, it is all about man and what he has done all by himself.

“Be careful that you do not forget the LORD your God, failing to observe his importance in our lives, and realize without him we really would be nothing and have nothing. Look at what the Father did back during the time when Moses was leading the Israelites out of Egypt manna from Heaven. He fed them, gave water in the desert. They would not have survived without the LORD. He parted the Red Sea until the very last person was through, then let it close. Look at Daniel he obeyed the LORD and got thrown into the fiery furnace came out untouched by the fire, didn’t even smell like smoke. Now what do you suppose would have happened if Moses, or Daniel would have stood up, held out their chest and said “Look At What I Did”.

The Lord knows that our very nature is one of pride. We take the credit for success. However oftentimes when we fail we do the opposite and blame the Father and say “Lord why did you allow me to fail”. When it comes to failure we are quick to point the finger and blame at the LORD or others. However when we are successful we want to keep all the praise for our selves and that is prideful and wicked. Our Father gave us life, and everything we have don’t even try to be selfish towards him.

Romans 11:35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?
Romans 11:36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
Deuteronomy 8:11 Beware that thou forget not the LORD thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day:
Deuteronomy 8:12 Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein;
Deuteronomy 8:13 And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;
Deuteronomy 8:14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage;

Deuteronomy 8:15 Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;
Deuteronomy 8:16 Who fed thee in the wilderness with manna, which thy fathers knew not, that he might humble thee, and that he might prove thee, to do thee good at thy latter end;
Deuteronomy 8:17 And thou say in thine heart, My power and the might of mine hand hath gotten me this wealth.
Deuteronomy 8:18 But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day.
Deuteronomy 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish.
Deuteronomy 8:20 As the nations which the LORD destroyeth before your face, so shall ye perish; because ye would not be obedient unto the voice of the LORD your God.
James 4:5 Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
James 4:6 But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

Keep in mind without the Lord we are nothing!!! He Is Our Everything!!! Our Strength, Love, Hiding Place.
Give thanks to God, for good is He, His grace abideth ever;
To Him all praise and glory be, His mercy faileth never.
His wondrous works with praise record, His grace abideth ever;
The only God, the sovereign Lord, whose mercy faileth never.
His wisdom made the heavens be, His grace abideth ever;
He spread the earth above the sea, His mercy faileth never.
Praise Him whose sun doth bring the day, His grace abideth ever;
The moon and stars His might display, whose mercy faileth never.
He helped us in our deepest woe, His grace abideth ever;
He ransomed us from all our foes, His mercy faileth never.
Each creature’s need He doth supply, His grace abideth ever;
Give thanks to God, enthroned on high, whose mercy faileth never.

We thank You, Lord, and worship You with gladness;
We praise Your name and lift our hearts in song;
For You are good, Your love endures forever,
Your faithfulness continues all day long.
You’ve lavished us with every spiritual blessing;
We thank You, Lord, and praise You now in song.
We thank You, Lord, for everyday provisions,
For daily food, for clothes and shelter too,
For health and strength and grace for every trial,
For this free land where we can worship You.
You crown each day with Your abundant goodness;
We thank You, Lord, and lift our praise to You.
We thank You, Lord, for giving us salvation.
You sent Your Son that we might be forgiv’n.
Far as the east from west, our sins have vanished;
Now justified, we’re citizens of Heav’n.
You’ve sealed us with Your promised Holy Spirit;
We thank You, Lord, for love so freely giv’n!
We thank You, Lord, for giving us the Bible
To guide our steps, if we’ll but hear and read,
And for Your Church, a worldwide living body,
That gives sweet fellowship and meets our need.
We are encouraged, and we worship gladly;
We thank You, Lord, You’ve made us rich indeed!
