A Promise and A prayer:)

Thursdays blessings luke

Have A Wonderful and Blessed Monday!!! A Promise and Prayer!!!

A PRECIOUS PROMISE;

1Peter 5:5 Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.
1Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
1Peter 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

There are so many verses on humility and how the Lord blesses those that have it. The Lord hates a proud look, a proud spirit, a proud heart. What took down Satan? What destroys most people? What destroys most relationships? P R I D E!!!! If any of us have a problem with pride we need to kill it NOW!!! There is nothing wrong with being humble. It is a blessing to be humble. Right here is a promise of blessing to those who are humble.

A PRECIOUS PRAYER;
Numbers 27:16 Let the LORD, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,
Numbers 27:17 Which may go out before them, and which may go in before them, and which may lead them out, and which may bring them in; that the congregation of the LORD be not as sheep which have no shepherd.

Numbers 27:18 And the LORD said unto Moses, Take thee Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the spirit, and lay thine hand upon him;
Numbers 27:19 And set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation; and give him a charge in their sight.
Numbers 27:20 And thou shalt put some of thine honour upon him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.
Numbers 27:21 And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask counsel for him after the judgment of Urim before the LORD: at his word shall they go out, and at his word they shall come in, both he, and all the children of Israel with him, even all the congregation.
Numbers 27:22 And Moses did as the LORD commanded him: and he took Joshua, and set him before Eleazar the priest, and before all the congregation:
Numbers 27:23 And he laid his hands upon him, and gave him a charge, as the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
Here we see in Numbers, Moses praying unto the Lord for a new leader for Israel. How many people leaving any type of office today would pray earnestly for the right man to come fill their spot? Moses was truly a man that cared for this people. He wanted the right things for them. He wanted to be sure things were right with the Lord, and them before he left “Office” so he prayed earnestly. Do we pray earnestly before we finish up or start something? Do we make sure the Lord is done with us on a “assignment” before just washing our hands and walking away?

PASS ME NOT, GENTLE SAVIOR
Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Let me at Thy throne of mercy
Find a sweet relief,
Kneeling there in deep contrition;
Help my unbelief.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Trusting only in Thy merit,
Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
Save me by Thy grace.
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
Thou the Spring of all my comfort,
More than life to me,
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
Whom in Heav’n but Thee?
Savior, Savior,
Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
Do not pass me by.
WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS
What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit, O what needless pain we bear,
all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.
Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy laden, cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge; take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee? Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In his arms he’ll take and shield thee; thou wilt find a solace there.

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
