Have A Wonderful and Blessed Day!!! Anger!!!

Two Types of Anger; Anger is a common emotion that arises when one encounters a threat, insult, injustice, or frustration. However, because of our fallen nature, we often respond in a sinful manner when this intense feeling overwhelms us. There is a righteous anger and a sinful anger. When we see people defaming the name of our Lord, false teaching of God’s word, murdering and harming of the young and helpless, or old, weak, and frail these types of things should anger us. When our world is so quickly changing the laws of the Lord, gay marriage, the sex of babies in which they were born, people able to work who choose not to and the government tells us to support them.

The unrighteous anger is when we have to wait an extra five minutes for the Happy Meal, when the car in front of us doesn’t immediately floor it when the light turns green, when our Keurig takes an extra two seconds, when the guy is going too slow in the left lane, when the older lady is counting out pennies in front of us at Wegmans. Our fast paced world has truly spoiled us and made us extremely impatient, and in some cases ruined our character. Maybe someone even looked at you wrong, or said the wrong thing.

One sinful response is to hold onto anger until it becomes part of our character. It takes up residence in the innermost being and starts to twist thinking and agitate emotions. Peace and joy are noticeably absent because they cannot exist with the anxiety and frustration that accompany bitterness.

After poisoning the character, an angry spirit spills over into other relationships. Hurtful words are thrown like flaming arrows, even at those who aren’t the cause of the rage. Shields of self-protection are raised in an effort to avoid any future hurts. Unfortunately, the result of these behaviors is stressed relationships and isolation.

While anger can damage our character and relationships with others, its most tragic consequence is broken fellowship with our Lord. Wrath not only hinders His work in and through believers; it also grieves the Father’s heart. He desires to shower His children with blessings, but hearts full of anger cannot receive His riches of character and calling.

If your dealing with unrepented anger, bitterness call upon the Lord ask for help in ridding your heart and mind of it today. In many cases people may have truly hurt you, but is it worth your relationship with the Lord, your relationship with others? Remember we have to answer for ourself on all we do here and bitterness is one of those things get rid of it here before you get there.

Take myself, and I will be ever, only, all for Thee.

It matters so little
How much you may own
The places you’ve been
Or people that you k
For it all comes to nothing
When placed at His feet
It’s nothing to Jesus
Just memories to me

You can take all the treasures
From far away lands
And take all the riches
you can hold in your hands
And take all the pleasures
Your riches can buy
But will it help
When it’s your time to die

Only one life
So soon it will pass
Only what’s done for Christ will last
Only one chance to do His will
So give to Jesus all you days
It’s the only life that pays
When you recall
You have but one life
The days pass so swiftly
The months come and go
The years melt away
Like new falling s
Spring turns to summer
Then summer to fall
Autumn brings winter
Then death come to all

Only one life
So soon it will pass
Only what’s done for Christ will last
Only one chance to do His will
So give to Jesus all you days
It’s the only life that pays
When you recall
You have but one life
