The Lord’s Supper

Friday Romans 5 17

Have A Wonderful And A Blessed Day!!! The Lord’s Supper!!!

Can Anybody Take Part In The Lord’s Supper; Everyone who is saved, born-again believing children of God Should take part of the Lord’s supper, and only believers. When we are taking part of the Lord’s supper is it the actual blood and body and Jesus Christ? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! Some denomination teach that it is and that is not just wrong but is is cannibalism, the way they are teaching it.

Just as the disciples had to prepare for the Passover meal, so must we prepare for the Lord’s supper? We are to observe the Lord’s supper according to Paul with a prepared heart. Paul said we are not to observe the supper in an unworthy manner. We are to come to the table with hearts prepared. The yeast of sin must be removed from our lives through confession and repentance. Paul said, “let a man examine himself”. We are not to enter lightly into the observance of the Lord’s supper. There is a necessary preparation. Jesus interrupted the meal with a startling statement. He said, “one of you will betray me.” Now the disciples had been told by Jesus that He would be delivered up, but they were not told that it would be one of their number. When faced with this news the disciples were cut to the heart. Each man began to question himself. The Greek words indicate that they were deeply sorrowful, violently shaken by this news. Can you imagine the thoughts going on at that table.
The Lord’s Supper is rich in meaning. That is why it has been an important part of the Christian life throughout the centuries. Sometimes it has become a lifeless ritual, done more out of habit than with meaning. Some people overreact by stopping the ritual entirely. The better response is to restore the meaning. Third, the Lord’s Supper also reminds us of the future, of Jesus’ return. Jesus said he would not drink the fruit of the vine again until he came in the fullness of the kingdom. So as we partake we can be reminded of his coming back:
1Corinthians 11:25-29 After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.

For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drunkest damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
In Conclusion: Don’t ever take it in a church that calls the juice (or worse yet they use fermented juice) the blood, and the wafer the body it is not. The accounts of the Lord’s Supper are found in the Gospels Matthew 26:26-29; Mark 14:17;Luke 14:27-29.The apostle Paul wrote concerning the Lord’s Supper in 1Corinthians 11:23. Paul includes a statement not found in the Gospels:
“Therefore, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. A man ought to examine himself before he eats of the bread and drinks of the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body of the Lord eats and drinks judgment on himself”. We may ask what it means to partake of the bread and the cup “in an unworthy manner.” It may mean to disregard the true meaning of the bread and cup and to forget the tremendous price our Savior paid for our salvation. Or it may mean to allow the ceremony to become a dead and formal ritual or to come to the Lord’s Supper with unconfessed sin. In keeping with Paul’s instruction, we should examine ourselves before eating the bread and drinking the cup. Also are you a born-again believer?

He, the perfect Son of God, became the fulfillment of the countless Old Testament prophecies concerning a Redeemer, A Savior, the Messiah. The King of kings…. He who paid our sin debt in full on Calvary. If you have questions talk to your Pastor, a trusted brother in the Lord, or an elder.

JESUS PAID IT ALL
I hear the Savior say,
“Thy strength indeed is small;
Child of weakness, watch and pray,
Find in Me thine all in all.”
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
For nothing good have I
Whereby Thy grace to claim,
I’ll wash my garments white
In the blood of Calv’ry’s Lamb.
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
And now complete in Him
My robe His righteousness,
Close sheltered ’neath His side,
I am divinely blest.
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and Thine alone,
Can change the leper’s spots
And melt the heart of stone.
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
When from my dying bed
My ransomed soul shall rise,
“Jesus died my soul to save,”
Shall rend the vaulted skies.
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete,
I’ll lay my trophies down
All down at Jesus’ feet.
Jesus paid it all,
All to Him I owe;
Sin had left a crimson stain,
He washed it white as snow.
WOUNDED FOR ME
Wounded for me, wounded for me,
There on the cross He was wounded for me;
Gone my transgressions, and now I am free,
All because Jesus was wounded for me.
Dying for me, dying for me,
There on the cross He was dying for me;
Now in His death my redemption I see,
All because Jesus was dying for me.
Risen for me, risen for me,
Up from the grave He has risen for me;
Now evermore from death’s sting I am free,
All because Jesus has risen for me.
Living for me, living for me,
Up in the skies He is living for me;
Daily He’s pleading and praying for me,
All because Jesus is living for me.
Coming for me, coming for me,
One day to earth He is coming for me;
Then with what joy His dear face I shall see,
O how I praise Him-—He’s coming for me!

Love and Prayers
