Done Some Thinking

Monday this is the work of God

Have A Wonderful Day!!! Doing Some Thinking!!!

Given New Purpose; As God’s adopted children, we have been given a new purpose: glorifying Him through righteous living. This means making certain changes in our life. Lets remember and be wise we are here to glorify the Lord. We are not here to see how wealthy we can get on our own, not here to see how many toys we can have, not here to show others how “Good I Am” but how good, great, awesome our Lord is. Let’s consider two more changes that may be necessary for followers of Jesus. One adjustment has to do with our belief system: a Christian’s thinking ought to match Jesus.

The world’s influence is strong, and if we listened to the culture, we’d push ahead of others, take all the credit for our accomplishments, and keep material possessions for our own use. There are some false teachers out there advising the world “this is your best life now, enjoy and have fun” But students of scripture know that the last shall be first, and the first will be last. If your always one to be first and push above others realize it will happen you will be last. The Lord is the one who deserves our praise, to be glorified, not us, as Christians we are to be generous with our gifts, talents, resources. We are not to be selfish, or self-centered, we are to be willing to give that extra. What we believe needs to match what the Bible says is true. Lastly, we may have to reconsider our priorities, and commitments to be sure the Lord comes first. His desires for us should take precedence over what we want and what others ask us to do. We must evaluate our decisions, and choices in light of the Lords plan for us. This may mean letting go of a favorite hobby, free time activity, taking on a new responsibility, or remaining where we are desperate yearning to leave. Our Father wants and deserves His children’s full devotion, and not weekend visitation. He deserves our utmost attention, and devotion and not to be a side note, second thought, or kept on the shelve until we DEEM IT NECCESSARY to call upon him.

These changes do not all happen instantly at salvation; rather, they take place over a lifetime. Whenever the Holy Spirit reveals a deeper truth or calls us to a new work, we will have additional changes to make. But such changes are accompanied by the confidence of knowing that the Lord, our Father will use us to fulfill His plan. To truly be at peace, experience joy as a Christian these are a few things to work on, submission, obedience, to the father, to put the Lord first and self last. To show others the light of the Lord in our lives.

Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 16:25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.
Matthew 16:26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?
Matthew 16:27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
Matthew 22:36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?
Matthew 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
Matthew 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
Matthew 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

Mark 9:34 But they held their peace: for by the way they had disputed among themselves, who should be the greatest.
Mark 9:35 And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all.
Mark 9:36 And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them,
Mark 9:37 Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.

Psalm 96:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth.
Psalm 96:2 Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
Psalm 96:3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.
Psalm 96:4 For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods.
Psalm 96:5 For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens.
Psalm 96:6 Honour and majesty are before him: strength and beauty are in his sanctuary.
Psalm 96:7 Give unto the LORD, O ye kindreds of the people, give unto the LORD glory and strength.
Psalm 96:8 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.
Psalm 96:9 O worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth.
Psalm 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
Psalm 96:11 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth be glad; let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof.
Psalm 96:12 Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice
Psalm 96:13 Before the LORD: for he cometh, for he cometh to judge the earth: he shall judge the world with righteousness, and the people with his truth.

1Timothy 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
1Timothy 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
1Timothy 6:18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
1Timothy 6:19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
A CHARGE TO KEEP
A charge to keep I have,
A God to glorify,
A never-dying soul to save,
And fit it for the sky.
To serve the present age,
My calling to fulfill:
O may it all my powers engage
To do my Master’s will!
Arm me with jealous care,
As in Thy sight to live;
And O Thy servant, Lord, prepare
A strict account to give!
Help me to watch and pray,
And on Thyself rely,
Assured, if I my trust betray,
I shall for ever die.

I WOULD BE TRUE
I would be true, for there are those who trust me;
I would be pure, for there are those who care;
I would be strong, for there is much to suffer;
I would be brave, for there is much to dare;
I would be brave, for there is much to dare.
I would be friend of all—the foe, the friendless;
I would be giving, and forget the gift;
I would be humble, for I know my weakness;
I would look up, and laugh, and love and lift.
I would look up, and laugh, and love and lift.
I would be faithful through each passing moment;
I would be constantly in touch with God;
I would be strong to follow where He leads me;
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod;
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod.
Who is so low that I am not his brother?
Who is so high that I’ve no path to him?
Who is so poor, that I may not feel his hunger?
Who is so rich I may not pity him?
Who is so rich I may not pity him?
Who is so hurt I may not know his heartache?
Who sings for joy my heart may never share?
Who in God’s heaven has passed beyond my vision?
Who to Hell’s depths where I may never fare?
Who to Hell’s depths where I may never fare?
May none, then, call on me for understanding,
May none, then, turn to me for help in pain,
And drain alone his bitter cup of sorrow,
Or find he knocks upon my heart in vain.
Or find he knocks upon my heart in vain.

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
