Have A Wonderful & Blessed Evening!!! Endurance!!!

One Of The Most Important Instructions From Christ For The believer’s Life Is Prayer; 1 Thessalonians 5:17 Pray Without Ceasing; How each of us as individuals approach the Lord, and what each of us are willing to ask of him reveals how we view him. Often times we frame our request with how well we know our Lord, or how we viewed our earthly Fathers. The child with a kind, gentle, and firm father usually are not afraid to ask anything, and are very comfortable in prayer.

They know deep down the father has great wisdom, understanding, and much more experience. Often times the one that had the abusive, unloving father will be uncertain of asking anything in prayer. They will often times feel afraid to start a outrage, cause difficulty to spark. They will choose to go without. This is also true spiritually. When we pray we pray in harmony with the view of God we have. I thinks sometimes our view of God can be influenced by the kind of earthly father we have had. An individual that believes God is arbitrary, will be fearful and on guard. The individual who believes that God is vengeful will be fearful. But the individual who believes that God is gracious will come boldly. This is why we have to remember Dad’s we leave very strong imprints on our children’s hearts. Adults we have to realize our earthly fathers are, and were human fleshly and needed a Savior too.

When we go before the Lord our God, we are going before the mighty God, perfect in everyway, no spot, no blemish, no sin. He doesn’t get angry and abusive because we interrupted. He loves us, he wants to hear from us. No where does he tell us he will instantly answer our prayer.

We have to wait for his timing, and he knows what we need more than we do. There are two certainties when we pray. One is that God hears every prayer. The other certainty is that God always answers. We do know we are told to pray, and that is exactly what we need to do. We need to pray for the lost, for our Pastor and his family, our family, our brethren…..If you can’t find anything to pray for, write or call I have lots to give you. 🙂

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Matthew 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.

This verse says for ‘everyone who asks receives,” did I read that right? Yes, it says everyone receives! But we have the misconception that the only possible answer to prayer is yes. There are two other possibilities. God can say, No or he can say, Not Yet. God hears and answers every prayer…

Another point I have heard often “I don’t have time to pray”, do you have time to watch TV? Do you drive to and from work? Do you have time to sit and read the paper? Do you have time for computer games? Do you have time to talk about the people at church you don’t care about? If you have time for the above you have time for prayer. We can make time for prayer, for the Lord, for Bible reading if we really want to.

Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Matthew 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Matthew 7:9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
Matthew 7:10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
Matthew 7:11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:
Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
Matthew 7:15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
Romans 8:25 But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
Romans 8:26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
James 4:2 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
Philippians 4:5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

MY FAITH LOOKS UP TO THEE
My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary, Savior divine!
Now hear me while I pray, take all my guilt away,
O let me from this day be wholly Thine!
May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart, my zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me, O may my love to Thee,
Pure warm, and changeless be, a living fire!
While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread, be Thou my Guide;
Bid darkness turn to day, wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray from Thee aside.
When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold sullen stream over me roll;
Blest Savior, then in love, fear and distrust remove;
O bear me safe above, a ransomed soul!
