Are You A True Christian

Have A Wonderful & Blessed Day!!! Signs Of A Christian!!!

How often can we walk through a store, a work place, and be able to tell who is a Christian and who is not? The Lord tells us we are to be a peculiar people. We are suppose to be different than the world. Some things do look similar in our world and unless we are experts we may not even know the difference.

If we are fitting in that closely to the world are we living as a true Christian? In the parable of the wheat and the tares, Jesus commented that in the church, some are believers and some are not, but the two are there together. They look very similar, but they are not the same and the end of the two will be very different.

A True Christian has a very distinctive love. We live in a society today where most live only for themselves. It doesn’t matter what it takes to get ahead. It doesn’t matter who you have to step on, who you have to talk about, who you have to cheat, swindle, or lie to, as long as you get ahead. People, and it starts as children, and you do not see parents correcting them for it, ALL DO IT.

Do you read your Bible? The Lord said if you love him you will love his word. If you don’t want to hear his word how can you call yourself a Christian? Are you in church when the doors are open? If Church isn’t important enough for you to be there and enjoy being there you may want to check your heart. If you make time for other things but not for Church, fellowship with the brethren, and reading his word please don’t call yourself a Christian.

There are those today who carry grudges. There are those who refuse to forgive. There are those who hate others just to hate. Some hate because someone is prettier, or thin, or heavy. If we are hating others, what does that show to the lost. If we are living in the world what does that say to the lost?

“It doesn’t matter, as long as I get what I want. It doesn’t matter as long as I get ahead.” I love God, but I know this one little issue will not get me in trouble, besides I am saved so I have nothing to worry about. The Bible says, “If anyone says, ‘I love God,’ yet hates his brother, he is a liar.” Keep in mind The Lord Jesus died for that person you “hate” that person is his child too.

We also need to be in obedience to Jesus, our Savior. If we are not loving like Him we are not in obedience. If we are not trusting, living, loving like Jesus , then we are not in his will, not in obedience, and will be losing many blessings, and need to change the way we are living.
What we are doing is destroying our testimony and harming the witness to the lost, and harming the young Christians around us. If this is how we are living, we need to repent, we need to tell God we are sorry. We need to return to your first love. We need to be doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. We need to repent of our disobedience. We need to ask God to forgive us for misrepresenting Him to the world and for our sin against Him. Then we need to change. Get the sin, the selfishness out of our life brothers and sisters.
If we aren’t sure if this applies to our lives ask a question “If I got arrested put on trial for being a Christian would there be enough evidence to convict me”?

I WILL SING THE WONDROUS STORY
I will sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me.
How He left His home in glory
For the cross of Calvary.
Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me,
Sing it with the saints in glory,
Gathered by the crystal sea.
I was lost, but Jesus found me,
Found the sheep that went astray,
Threw His loving arms around me,
Drew me back into His way.
Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me,
Sing it with the saints in glory,
Gathered by the crystal sea.
I was bruised, but Jesus healed me,
Faint was I from many a fall,
Sight was gone, and fears possessed me,
But He freed me from them all.
Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me,
Sing it with the saints in glory,
Gathered by the crystal sea.
Days of darkness still come o’er me,
Sorrow’s path I often tread,
But His presence still is with me;
By His guiding hand I’m led.
Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me,
Sing it with the saints in glory,
Gathered by the crystal sea.
He will keep me till the river
Rolls its waters at my feet;
Then He’ll bear me safely over,
Where the loved ones I shall meet.
Yes, I’ll sing the wondrous story
Of the Christ Who died for me,
Sing it with the saints in glory,
Gathered by the crystal sea.

IN MY THERE RINGS A MELODY
I have a song that Jesus gave me,
It was sent from heav’n above;
There never was a sweeter melody,
‘Tis a melody of love.
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody with heaven’s harmony;
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody of love.
I love the Christ who died on Calv’ry,
For He washed my sins away;
He put within my heart a melody,
And I know it’s there to stay.
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody with heaven’s harmony;
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody of love.
‘Twill be my endless theme in glory,
With the angels I will sing;
‘Twill be a song with glorious harmony,
When the courts of heaven ring.
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody with heaven’s harmony;
In my heart there rings a melody,
There rings a melody of love.
