Have a Wonderful and Blessed day!!! What About His Name!!!

We Need To Ask In His Name; In John 14:14 The Lord is telling us : If ye ask any thing in my name, I will do it. Often times people are angered because they ask for things and get angry because they don’t get what ever they ask for. The following are some reasons why it works that way:
⦁ Are we asking for something that matches the Lord’s will?
⦁ Is it something that will glorify the Lord?
⦁ Is it something that will help us spiritually

The Lord shows his will plain to those who truly seek it. The Lord also isn’t like a genie in a bottle, if your asking for things like a spoiled child you will be disappointed.

We need to ask the Lord if our prayers match His will, If we are asking for things out of his will he is not going to answer, he knows what will be good for us, and harmful for us. Anything out of his will, will be harmful. We need to remember when we go to him for prayer its not for great wealth, bigger toys, notoriety. We go to him for prayer for wisdom, salvation for others, our Pastors, our Churches, finances, sickness.
Second praying in Christ name means that we desire to glorify our Precious Lord and not our self remember that is why we are here. James also tells us “we ask and receive not because we ask with the wrong motive.” An example is does a person want to get out of debt so that he has more for himself or so that he can use the excess in God-honoring ways? Motives are apparent to God. He will not offer help until our heart is right.
In the name Jesus Christ, there is abundant power. However, calling upon Him in prayer is not a magic charm to get what we want. Rather, it is us laying down our personal desires and our own way of showing the Lord we want to truly glorify him. In so doing, we commit to follow God and bring honor to Him.
John 15:17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
John 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
John 15:20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also.
John 15:21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me.
John 15:22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin.
John 15:23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
James 4:3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Colossians 4:2 Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;
Colossians 4:3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
Ephesians 6:18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Romans 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

TEACH ME TO PRAY
Teach me to pray, Lord, teach me to pray;
This is my heart-cry day unto day;
I long to know Thy will and Thy way;
Teach me to pray, Lord, teach me to pray.
Living in Thee, Lord, and Thou in me,
Constant abiding, this is my plea;
Grant me Thy power, boundless and free,
Power with men and power with Thee.
Power in prayer, Lord, power in prayer!
Here ’mid earth’s sin and sorrow and care,
Men lost and dying, souls in despair;
O give me power, power in prayer!
My weakened will, Lord, Thou canst renew;
My sinful nature Thou canst subdue;
Fill me just now with power anew;
Power to pray and power to do!
Teach me to pray, Lord, teach me to pray;
Thou art my pattern day unto day;
Thou art my surety, now and for aye;
Teach me to pray, Lord, teach me to pray.

COME YE DISCONSOLATE
Come, ye disconsolate, where’er ye languish,
Come, at the shrine of God fervently kneel;
Here bring your wounded hearts; here tell your anguish;
Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal.
Joy of the desolate, light of the straying,
Hope when all others die, fadeless and pure;
Here speaks the Comforter, in God’s name saying,
“Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot cure.”
Come, ask the infidel what boon he brings us,
What charm for aching hearts he can reveal,
Sweet is that heavenly promise Hope sings us—
“Earth has no sorrow that God cannot heal.”

Love and prayers
Cheryl
