A Life for The Lord Now

Tuesday blessing Psalm 94

Have A Wonderful And Blessed Day!!! Your Best Life Now “WHAT”!!!!

I won’t mention any names, but we have “Pastors” telling people “Come have your best life Now”; Why is this so bad? I will give a little scenario:
You, and your whole family live in the same city; the city has just been destroyed by a earthquake. You see none of them have been killed, lots of injuries, and horrible damage. You, and your spouse decide way too much to do here, lets get in our vehicle, and go to the next town take out our Master Card, and go on a vacation. You reason it out as why waste weeks taking care of such a mess, miss out on precious time having fun, so you go have “ENJOY YOUR LIFE”.

Some may say “Cheryl I would never do that, and I don’t believe you would. However in the Lord’s eyes when we get that attitude “Having our Best Life now” or “Let the Pastor and the Christians that don’t have a life go out and witness”; what are we essentially saying?
Look at the world around us, gay marriage, selling baby parts, people and children changing their sex, do we have time to “do our own thing till we retire”? Should we sit back enjoy life for ourselves, look at the pretty trees and flowers in our yard, with a cold glass of lemonade, say sorry Lord “I am enjoying my best life now”.

Our Best Life is when we get home to Heaven, where no sin is, no tears, no darkness. Where we can look into our Saviors face. We can have fellowship with the Saints that went before us, with Moses, Abraham, Sarah, Matthew, John, Mark, Ruth, etc…. Here our life needs to be about glorifying our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, not ourselves.
We can’t possibly look at this evil world and do nothing. Find something to do. Pick up a Bible show a neighbor what the Lord wrote. Pick up some tracts hand them out, leave them places. Put a scripture verse on your car ONLY IF YOUR NOT AN AGGRESSIVE DRIVER. Live by example let people see Jesus in your life the way you talk, walk, dress.

SO I AM GOING TO HARSHLY DISAGREE WITH THE “PASTORS”/PERSONS TEACHING THIS IDEA OF YOUR BEST LIFE NOW. IT GOES AGAINST WHAT OUR LORD TELLS US. AND ONCE AGAIN I WILL SAY THIS LIFE IS FOR OUR LORD NOT US. LETS GLORIFY OUR LORD, NOT SELF WHAT ARE WE THAT WE NEED TO BE MADE SPECIAL OR TREATED BETTER THAN THE FATHER…..A SINNER SAVED BY GRACE HIS GRACE…..
1Corinthians 10:30 For if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of for that for which I give thanks?
1Corinthians 10:31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
Revelation 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

1Peter 1:13 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;
1Peter 1:14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:
1Peter 1:15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;
1Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
1Peter 1:17 And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Matthew 28:20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Hebrews 10:24 And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
SOMETHING FOR THEE
Savior, Thy dying love
Thou gavest me,
Nor should I aught withhold,
Dear Lord, from Thee;
In love my soul would bow,
My heart fulfill its vow,
Some off’ring bring Thee now,
Something for Thee.
O’er the blest mercy seat,
Pleading for me,
My feeble faith looks up,
Jesus, to Thee:
Help me the cross to bear,
Thy wondrous love declare,
Some song to raise, or prayer,
Something for Thee.
Give me a faithful heart—
Likeness to Thee,
That each departing day
Henceforth may see
Some work of love begun,
Some deed of kindness done,
Some wand’rer sought and won,
Something for Thee.
All that I am and have—
Thy gifts so free—
In joy, in grief, through life,
O Lord, for Thee!
And when Thy face I see,
My ransomed soul shall be
Through all eternity,
Something for Thee.
SWEETER AS THE YEARS GO BY
Of Jesus’ love that sought me, when I was lost in sin;
Of wondrous grace that brought me back to His fold again;
Of heights and depths of mercy, far deeper than the sea,
And higher than the heavens, my theme shall ever be.

Sweeter as the years go by,
Sweeter as the years go by,
Richer, fuller, deeper, Jesus’ love is sweeter,
Sweeter as the years go by.
He trod in old Judea life’s pathway long ago;
The people thronged about Him, His saving grace to know;
He healed the brokenhearted, and caused the blind to see;
And still His great heart yearneth in love for even me.
’Twas wondrous love which led Him for us to suffer loss,
To bear without a murmur the anguish of the cross;
With saints redeemed in glory, let us our voices raise,
Till Heav’n and earth re-echo with our Redeemer’s praise.

ONE DAY
One day when Heaven was filled with His praises,
One day when sin was as black as could be,
Jesus came forth to be born of a virgin,
Dwelt among men, my Example is He!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!
One day they led Him up Calvary’s mountain,
One day they nailed Him to die on the tree;
Suffering anguish, despised and rejected:
Bearing our sins, my Redeemer is He!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!
One day they left Him alone in the garden,
One day He rested, from suffering free;
Angels came down o’er His tomb to keep vigil;
Hope of the hopeless, my Savior is He!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!
One day the grave could conceal Him no longer,
One day the stone rolled away from the door;
Then He arose, over death He had conquered;
Now is ascended, my Lord evermore!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!
One day the trumpet will sound for His coming,
One day the skies with His glories will shine;
Wonderful day, my belovèd ones bringing;
Glorious Savior, this Jesus is mine!
Living, He loved me; dying, He saved me;
Buried, He carried my sins far away;
Rising, He justified freely forever;
One day He’s coming—O glorious day!

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
