Pride Is Not A Good Thing!!!

ood Morning!!! Have A Wonderful & Blessed Wednesday!!! Humility!!!
What Is A Perfect Example Of Humility; The best one is:

Jesus (100% God, 100% man) after having dinner with his disciples laid aside his outer garment, and taking a towel, tide it around his waist. Then he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples feet and to wipe them with the towel that was wrapped around him never saying “hey you do realize I am the mighty God and I am washing your feet” “this will be written down to prove humility because I am the God”. He could have made all kinds of high ego comments but he doesn’t, how often do we do something really humble but ruin it because we have to pat ourselves on the back? Let each of us look not to our own interest, but to the interests of glorifying our Precious Lord, and Savior, and others.
Have your mind among pleasing our Lord Jesus Christ, which is yours in Christ Jesus who though his birth, death, resurrection we have eternal life in Heaven with Him. While here on this earth he took on being a servant, the Mighty God thought nothing to take on the form of a servant, being born in the “likeness of men” when Christians apply the spirit of humble servitude. Many doors can be open to minister the gospel of Jesus Christ. Jesus beholds to us an example of what humble servitude looks like. Therefore we must serve one another as Christ showed by washing His disciples’ feet. Even in the mist of betrayal God’s love succeed all conditions. Even enduring the cross he gave his life for the sins of the world, he who knew NO SIN.

Jesus laid aside his garment in act of obedience to his father that He might show unconditional love towards us. Secondly, He becomes a slave that we might experience the acts of humble servitude. Finally, He confirms truth in our hearts that we may be a blessing to ourselves as with others. Every Christian must therefore respond to humble servitude. How would our Lord look at us when we respond with “I am not your slave do it yourself” think for a moment is he looking at us with a pleasing heart? How about Your Pastor asks for volunteers to clean the bathrooms at church people are avoiding cleaning them. Nobody is raising their hands, lots of whispering “I am not cleaning nobody’s yucky bathroom mess”. The Pastor who is working two full time jobs secular and being the Pastor, and losing lots of family time, tells the congregation no worries I will come early on Sunday and do it” very humble of that Pastor, again is the Lord happy with that congregation?

We need to learn to be humble, some jobs are not pleasant, some people are difficult. However our example is Jesus he is God he washed the disciples feet never said I am…, I did…this will…yet us sinners saved by grace still in the flesh are prideful group who want to start at the top, don’t want our hands dirty, don’t want to miss our IMPORTANT functions over the LORDS WORK.

Keep in mind The Lord hates pride in any form. All these groups saying “I am Proud”, “Pride Week”, “Pride Month” Well guess what Pride is what took down Satan!!! Speaking of Pride month side note someone said to me; many are celebrating Pride Month for being gay. How about instead of a whole month dedicated to something the Lord is against we take a month in remembrance for the soldiers who have given their life for our rights, and safety. How about we take a month in remembrance for the missionaries who have been tortured for getting the gospel to far away and dangerous places.

MY FAVORITE PASTOR TALKS OF A TIME (I HOPE I GET THIS RIGHT) HE WANTED TO GET STARTED IN MINISTRY. HE TALKED TO HIS PASTOR AT THE TIME AND ASKED WHAT CAN I DO. THE PASTOR SAID TAKE OUT THE GARBAGE. MY FAVORITE PASTOR SAID OH OK. HE DIDN’T SAY NO I WANT SOMETHING BETTER, AN IMPORTANT JOB, SOMETHING THAT MATTERS, HE LOVES JESUS TOOK OUT THE GARBAGE, AND IS A WONDERFUL JESUS LOVING TRUTH TELLING PREACHER TODAY.

Be Humble we are all the same all made in his image. We are here for the same reason to glorify our Lord, our King. We are here to impress anyone. If Jesus didn’t feel the need to walk around saying “Do you know who I am” why should we.

Ephesians 4:2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Ephesians 4:3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
James 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
Proverbs 11:2 When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.
John 13:1 Now before the feast of the passover, when Jesus knew that his hour was come that he should depart out of this world unto the Father, having loved his own which were in the world, he loved them unto the end.
John 13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, to betray him;
John 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
John 13:4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
John 13:5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples’ feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.
John 13:6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
John 13:7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
John 13:8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
John 13:9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also my hands and my head.
John 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash his feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.
John 13:11 For he knew who should betray him; therefore said he, Ye are not all clean.
John 13:12 So after he had washed their feet, and had taken his garments, and was set down again, he said unto them, Know ye what I have done to you?
John 13:13 Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am.
John 13:14 If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet.
John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
John 13:16 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.
John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
John 13:18 I speak not of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the scripture may be fulfilled, He that eateth bread with me hath lifted up his heel against me.
John 13:19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe that I am he.
John 13:20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth me; and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.
John 13:21 When Jesus had thus said, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
John 13:22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he spake.
John 13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples, whom Jesus loved.
John 13:24 Simon Peter therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom he spake.
John 13:25 He then lying on Jesus’ breast saith unto him, Lord, who is it?
John 13:26 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I have dipped it. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
John 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.
John 13:28 Now no man at the table knew for what intent he spake this unto him.
John 13:29 For some of them thought, because Judas had the bag, that Jesus had said unto him, Buy those things that we have need of against the feast; or, that he should give something to the poor.
John 13:30 He then having received the sop went immediately out: and it was night.
John 13:31 Therefore, when he was gone out, Jesus said, Now is the Son of man glorified, and God is glorified in him.
John 13:32 If God be glorified in him, God shall also glorify him in himself, and shall straightway glorify him.
John 13:33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me: and as I said unto the Jews, Whither I go, ye cannot come; so now I say to you.
John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:36 Simon Peter said unto him, Lord, whither goest thou? Jesus answered him, Whither I go, thou canst not follow me now; but thou shalt follow me afterwards.

2Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
2Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
2Corinthians 4:5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

I WOULD BE TRUE
I would be true, for there are those who trust me;
I would be pure, for there are those who care;
I would be strong, for there is much to suffer;
I would be brave, for there is much to dare;
I would be brave, for there is much to dare.
I would be friend of all—the foe, the friendless;
I would be giving, and forget the gift;
I would be humble, for I know my weakness;
I would look up, and laugh, and love and lift.
I would look up, and laugh, and love and lift.
I would be faithful through each passing moment;
I would be constantly in touch with God;
I would be strong to follow where He leads me;
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod;
I would have faith to keep the path Christ trod.
Who is so low that I am not his brother?
Who is so high that I’ve no path to him?
Who is so poor, that I may not feel his hunger?
Who is so rich I may not pity him?
Who is so rich I may not pity him?
Who is so hurt I may not know his heartache?
Who sings for joy my heart may never share?
Who in God’s heaven has passed beyond my vision?
Who to Hell’s depths where I may never fare?
Who to Hell’s depths where I may never fare?
May none, then, call on me for understanding,
May none, then, turn to me for help in pain,
And drain alone his bitter cup of sorrow,
Or find he knocks upon my heart in vain.
Or find he knocks upon my heart in vain.
WHO IS IN THE LORD’S SIDE
Who is on the Lord’s side?
Who will serve the King?
Who will be His helpers
Other lives to bring?
Who will leave the world’s side?
Who will face the foe?
Who is on the Lord’s side?
Who for Him will go?
By Thy call of mercy
By Thy grace Divine,
We are on the Lord’s side,
Saviour, we are Thine.
Not for weight of glory,
Not for crown and palm,
Enter we the army,
Raise the warrior psalm;
But for Love that claimeth
Lives for whom He died:
He whom Jesus nameth
Must be on His side.
By Thy love constraining,
By Thy grace Divine,
We are on the Lord’s side,
Saviour, we are Thine.
Jesus, Thou hast bought us,
Not with gold or gem,
But with Thine own life-blood,
For Thy diadem:
With Thy blessing filling
Each who comes to Thee,
Thou hast made us willing,
Thou hast made us free.
By Thy grand redemption,
By Thy grace Divine,
We are on the Lord’s side,
Saviour, we are Thine.
Fierce may be the conflict,
Strong may be the foe,
But the King’s own army
None can overthrow:
Round His standard ranging,
Victory is secure;
For His truth unchanging
Makes the triumph sure.
Joyfully enlisting,
By Thy grace Divine,
We are on the Lord’s side.
Saviour, we are Thine!
Chosen to be soldiers
In an alien land,
Chosen, called, and faithful,
For our Captain’s band;
In the service royal
Let us not grow cold;
Let us be right loyal,
Noble, true and bold.
Master, Thou wilt keep us,
By Thy grace Divine,
Always on the Lord’s side,
Saviour, always Thine.
Amen.

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
