What Is Salvation

Friday 1 John 5 4.png

Have a Wonderful and Blessed day!!! He Paid It All Nothing We Did!!!!
John 3:14  And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
John 3:15  That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:17  For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 3:18  He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
John 3:19  And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 3:20  For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
John 3:21  But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
My heart has been burdened at the amount of False teachings and False teachers. My heart is heavy listening to some lies brought about by People who don’t read or truly believe the word of God. I had went for a mammogram on Wednesday. Well they had to do more pictures and a sonogram, so I was waiting with some other ladies needing more pictures. Two women sitting in the waiting room had some unbiblical beliefs they were sharing. To make it shorter I will say what lies they were sharing:
Woman number one started talking to me and told me she has had revelations (some a bit scary). She said she knows people who have died went to hell and Jesus gave them a second chance. She said Jesus told them he knows they have a “good Heart”, My bible tells me in Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 17:9  The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
A lie right out of hell. First of all once we take our last breath and go to eternity we can’t come back. The Lord never tells us in scripture he gives second chances after death. She had a few other lies she was promoting but we will let it go at these.
She also told me since the Holy Spirit came in she no longer sins, how does that work? While here in this world in the flesh we are calling Jesus a liar to state such nonsense.
The next lady was a “Ordained Minister”, and healer. My first question is if she was  a healer why did she stay for extra pictures instead of going home and healing herself. I also asked the question why not go to the Children’s hospital and heal all the children.
So what do we have to do for salvation? It is not claiming we have powers of healing, it is not by who we know, it is not giving money to the local TV Preacher, it is not by claiming to keep the ten commandments.  It is believing in the Precious Lord and Savior who being perfect in everyway came here and spilled his precious blood on Calvary. Jesus paid it all in full. We should live for him, not get caught up in the world but we can do nothing to get saved or keep our salvation.Here in our passage from John, John writes that Jesus is going to be lifted up, meaning that He will be put to death on the cross, so that (verse 15) whoever believes in Him will have eternal life. And then Jesus says it again in verse 16…
John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
And when we go back up to verses 14 & 15, we get our context. Jesus tells Nicodemus that the Son of Man is going to be lifted up – so that – whoever believeth will have eternal life.
Well we do have to believe that Jesus died on the cross… but we have to believe that Jesus was more than just a man. He is also God. We have to believe that He was the Son of God, born of a virgin. We have to believe that He was sinless, and that He perfectly fulfilled the righteous requirements of God. And we have to believe that His death paid for all of our sin, and met every demand of God’s holiness, and that by dying as He did, Jesus justifies us before God, and reconciles us back to God.
So why did Jesus have to do that? Why did he spill his blood for us. Well… because the Lord God is holy and righteous. Because He is perfect in every way, He expects perfect holiness and righteousness. We might seem good in comparison to our friends, and family members, and neighbors… but next to Jesus we fall way short. Paul says that we’ve all fallen short of the glory of God. And John; in 1st John 1:10 says, “If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us.” There’s none righteous, no not even one.
Now some people will say, “Well, I’ll just keep the law, and that will make me right with God.” That’s what the Pharisee’s thought. But there’s a couple of problems with that. You see; the Bible tells us that we’re born sinners. And so we come into this world corrupt, sinners, and enemies of God. We come into this world with a heart that’s polluted with sin, and a mind that’s darkened by sin, and desires that set themselves on sin. Again the Apostle Paul tells us in Romans – “There are NONE who seek God.” Not only that; James 2:10 says that “Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles in one point, he’s guilty of breaking it all.”
So when you get right down to it, none of us can keep the Law.Now if we can’t keep the Law, and if our hearts are against God from birth. What are we supposed to do? Well this is where John 3:16 comes in. You see; the Bible teaches us that there is only one way we can become righteous before God. God has to provide the righteousness He demands –
WE CAN’T DO IT. God’s requirement for obedience is so high, none of us can do it. And so what God does is – He sends His Son, He sends Jesus, God in the flesh. And Jesus comes, and He perfectly obeys the Law, and He perfectly meets all of God’s standards for holiness, and goodness, and righteousness. And Jesus does what none of us could ever do. Jesus has no spot no blemish, no sin is found in him.
So it’s not by keeping the Law, because none of us can do that. It’s not by good works, because our works of righteousness aren’t really righteous  they’re like filthy rags. But listen to what the Apostle Paul says in Romans 3:
Romans 3:21  But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Romans 3:22  Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
Romans 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Romans 3:24  Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Romans 3:25  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
And the reason for that is because God is a just God. He is just and holy, and being just and holy means that He has to punish sin. He can’t just let it slide by – there has to be a punishment for all the wrong we’ve done. And God cannot deny Himself. Or any part of Himself. He can’t deny His justice or holiness any more than He could deny His mercy and love. Justice is as much a part of God as love is… and so there has to be a punishment for our sin. And that’s why Jesus has to be lifted up.

JUST AS I AM
Just as I am, without one plea
But that Thy blood was shed for me
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee
O Lamb of God, I come! I come
Just as I am, though tossed about
With many a conflict, many a doubt
Fighting and fears within without
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
Just as I am, and waiting not
to rid my soul of one dark blot
to thee whose blood can cleanse each spot
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
Just as I am, poor, wretched, blind
Sight, riches, healing of the mind
Yea, all I need, in Thee to find
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Just as I am, Thou wilt receive
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve
Because Thy promise I believe
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
Because Thy promise I believe
O Lamb of God, I come, I come
Love and Prayers
