STOP BEING A WORRIER

Saturday blessings Cast thy burden

Have a Wonderful and Blessed day!!! Rid Life Of Anxiety!!!

Matthew 6:19 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:
Matthew 6:20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
Matthew 6:21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Matthew 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!
Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?
Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
Matthew 6:28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
Matthew6:29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
Matthew 6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
Matthew 6:32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

DETERMINE WHAT IS TRULY VALUABLE.
What do we treasure?
** Everything we own here in this world is temporary. Things will not go with us when we take our last breath. All our possessions here if they are still around will be burned up by fire at the end of the age.
** What ought to be most important? Your relationship with Christ and your family and friends. If you truly treasure these things most, then you won’t place too much value on “stuff”.
** Everything that you do for God is safely stored for you in Heaven. At the end of your life, your things won’t matter. The only thing that will matter is your salvation and relationship with Jesus Christ.
Where is our focus?

Matthew 6:22 The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.
Matthew 6:23 But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!

When you love your stuff, your focus changes to whatever you value.
How much is spent on travel, leisure, eating out, cars, etc and compare that to your tithe and offerings. It becomes easy to determine if you really love God or do you love stuff?

Does God need our money? NO he is more rich than anyone in the world. Our offerings and tithes are important because he commands us to give. Our time is important to him; do we give of ourselves to ministry, to be a witness, to help at whatever Church building we go to.
Who is your Master?

Matthew 6:24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

There is a guy I knew that had a lot of money. A lot. He watched the stock market every single day. When the market went down, he would worry a lot and it was all he talked about. He was a generous man, but with bad market, he would regret his previous generosity. One day as he was complaining someone told him “I used to think you had a lot of money, but I’ve come to understand that you don’t have money, your money has you!”

Be careful that the things you enjoy don’t control and consume you. Any thing can become an idol. Keep things in perspective. People do idolize money and things and that is sad.
What is truly valuable? Your relationship with Jesus Christ, your salvation, and your relationship with your family and friends.

REALIZE HOW VALUABLE YOU ARE. CHRIST DIED FOR YOU!!!
Often we worry because we somehow think that God does not even know our situation, and if He does, we wonder if He even cares. We suffer from insecurity because we do not realize just how much God loves us and how valuable we are to Him. When we come to fully understand how much God truly loves us, worry should not be a problem. Here, Jesus points out 3 reasons not to worry.

(1) Worry is Sinful
Matthew 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Jesus is talking about “Who is Master?” If God really is your Master, then your worrying reveals a lack of faith in Him. Your lack of faith is a sin. What core beliefs are you revealing about God by worrying?
* You don’t trust His Power. Some of you are praying but continue to worry. You are telling God, I know you created all things I know you parted the Red Sea, I know you rose from the dead.. but my problems are too big for you to handle.

DO YOU THINK THAT KIND OF THOUGHT BLESSES YOU IN ANYWAY. IT DOES GRIEVE OUR PRECIOUS FATHER.

You don’t trust His Love. Even though God has told you repeatedly that He loves you, repeatedly shown that He loves you. When you worry you are doubting His love. He can change your situation, but you don’t believe He cares, Perfect love casts out fear!

(2) Worry is Unnecessary.

God loves all of His Creation, but He loves you and me above everything else that He created.
He does supply our every need. Sometimes we pray for wants and are upset because he doesn’t give them to us. However he knows what we need far better than we know.

* If He does so much for the birds, the lilies, and the grass of the field, how much more will He take care of you. He loves you above all else.

(3) Worry is Pointless.
Matthew 6:34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Even if worrying wasn’t sinful. Even if worrying was unnecessary.
It would still be pointless. Nobody can get taller, richer, healthy, by worry.

1. Worrying doesn’t change your situation for the better, in fact it can often make things worse.
2. The Father knows your needs and He will meet your needs if you trust Him.

3. RECEIVE THE BLESSINGS OF LASTING VALUE.
Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
YOU CAN’T OUTGIVE GOD!!

4. FREE YOURSELF FROM WORRY!
* Realize that most things you worry about never happen anyway.
* If you’re always worried about what people think about you, remember this….. People aren’t thinking about you as much as you think they are!
* When you’re worked up about something, work out! Exercise is a great stress reliever. Weightlifting, running, etc. But the best is punching a body bag….. pretending it is the object of your anxiety. iF YOU CAN’T DO THESE THINGS, GET ON YOUR KNEES IN PRAYER, CALL A FRIEND AND PRAY TOGETHER

The Lord wants us to trust him, and when we worry we are telling him “Lord you are not capable of this”. Is this what we really want to say to our Lord who has created all things, has parted the Red sea, tuse some from the dead including himself, so we are telling this same God, “my worrying is a better choice”.

TIS SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS
’Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to take Him at His Word;
Just to rest upon His promise,
And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him!
How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;
Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus!
Oh, for grace to trust Him more!
Oh, how sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just to trust His cleansing blood;
And in simple faith to plunge me
’Neath the healing, cleansing flood!
Yes, ’tis sweet to trust in Jesus,
Just from sin and self to cease;
Just from Jesus simply taking
Life and rest, and joy and peace.
I’m so glad I learned to trust Thee,
Precious Jesus, Savior, Friend;
And I know that Thou art with me,
Wilt be with me to the end.

Love and Prayers
Cheryl
