He Paid It All For ALL!!!

Saturday Psalm 46 10.jpg

Have A Wonderful and Blessed day!!! Love And Grace For All!!!

1Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
1Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1Timothy 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.
1Timothy 2:8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.

GOD’S PASSION
The little word “all” shows us that evangelism, telling the world about Jesus is God’s passion. Someone has said that Christianity is the greatest story never told. Sadly some Conservative believers who would die before denying the faith, often live and die without ever sharing it.
This passage is often used to teach that the first priority of the church is prayer. But a closer reading shows that prayer is the means of accomplishing the main thing, evangelism and missions.

The text says we are to pray for the governing authorities, so the church can have peace and quiet. And this peace and quiet is not the selfish “peace of mind” most Americans come to church for. It is peace that affords the opportunity to share our faith with others. The key word here is ALL:

1) We are to pray for “all men” (verse 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;).
2) God wants “all men to be saved”; The Father tells us he would have none die and go to hell, as a Christian we need to feel the same way. 1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
3) Jesus paid the “ransom for all men”; and all means all, God did not pick out some like a elite club where not all have the requirements to join. He PAID the price for all.

GOD’S PREDESTINATION (1:2-4)
1. A Heresy Confronted (Calvinism)
The verses just quoted, especially verse five, that says God wants all people to be saved is under attack by Calvinists, by five point Calvinism. It is an example of meaningless talk and controversy. Some followers of the teachings of John Calvin, and Augustine teach:
God does not want all people saved.
2. Before creation God chose those He saves.
3. Jesus died only for them and not for all people.
4. Those chosen cannot reject Jesus Christ.
In one wicked system they deny the truths of Scripture which teach God loves all people; He tells us to love even our enemies and to pray for them.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

He wants all people saved;
1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
The Father sent Jesus to offer a sacrifice for all people;
1Timothy 2:6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1John 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
1John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
1) Calvinism makes us puppets with no will and no choice. The Lord has given us a free will. How wicked this group called Calvinists make God sound.
2) Calvinism makes God a monster.
David said God created him in his mother’s womb and he came out in iniquity;
Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
Psalm 139:13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.

He creates sinful human being and then sends them to hell for being sinful. That’s like sending a dog to hell for barking, when it was created to bark. Wesley once said to a Calvinist, “The Person you call God I call the devil.”

3) Calvinism is the Opposite of Love and God is Love
First John 4:8 says, “God is love”. This is not an attribute of God, it is his essence. It is who He is as a person. So what Calvinists say God did does not come within a billion miles of what the term “love” means. His love makes Him want all people to be saved and made Him send His Son to be crucified for us.

GOD’S PURPOSE ON CALVARY (5-6)
For there is one mediator between God and men, the man Jesus
Who gave himself as a ransom for all men-the testimony given in the proper time

1. The Mission of Jesus
.Jesus gave his life as a ransom for all men. The mission of Jesus was evangelism. The word “ransom” was used of paying price to release someone like a slave or a captured leader. Some have said Jesus paid the devil, but that is absurd. He defeated the devil;
Colossians 2:15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
Jesus the Perfect lamb of God, sinless, spotless, and perfect paid it all on Calvary’s mountain and paid the debt for ALL MEN, WOMEN, ALL CREATION!!!

2. The Mediation of Christ;
1Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Jesus is the one and only mediator between a holy God and sinful man.
Some religions pray to Mary, dead religious leaders, and give more credit to the dead than to our Living Savior who is the only mediator.
3. The Mission of Christianity;
To reach out to the lost, to glorify the Lord, to encourage one another.
1Timothy 2:7 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity.

God prepared His world, to receive His Son and sent Him at just the right time and in just the right place.

2) The Preachers God Sends
Paul now throws himself into his argument and says the reason he has been in jail, the reason he is covered with scars, the reason he has never had a home since he met Jesus, is that God called him to be the giver of the good news, an Apostle with God’s own authority, and a teacher to Jews and Gentiles.

The Lord has given us each talents and gifts to reach out to the lost, to encourage the brethren, to glorify his wondrous name!!! If he only allows certain people into heaven, why would he tell us ALL to go out into the world and give the gospel, it seems to me it would be a waste of time unless he gave us a list of who to reach out to. I truly believe according to the word of God EVERYONE ALL OVER THIS WORLD has the choice to be saved or reject Jesus.

I also think us as Christians need to have a heart for the lost, just as our Father does. He wants us to go out into all the world. I have seen a few times where people, so called “Christians” have been happy that someone has died without Jesus,even saying “They deserve hell”, How wicked is that we all deserve hell but through his wonderful grace we can be saved everyone one in the world.

ONCE FOR ALL
God I give You what I can today
These scattered ashes that are hid away
I lay it all at Your feet
From the corners of my deepest shame
The empty places where I’ve worn Your name
Show me the love I say I believe
O Help me to lay it down
Oh, Lord I’ll lay it down
O let this be where I die
My Lord with thee crucified
Be lifted high as my kingdoms fall
Once and for all, once and for all
There is victory in my Savior’s loss
And in the crimson flowing from the cross
Pour over me, pour over me
O let this be where I die
My Lord with thee crucified
Be lifted high as my kingdoms fall
Once and for all, once and for all
O Lord I lay it down
O Lord I lay it down
Help me to lay it down
O Lord I lay it down
O let this be where I die
My Lord with thee crucified
Be lifted high as my kingdoms fall
Once and for all
Once and for all
O Once and for all
Once and for all

Love and Prayers
