Have A Wonderful and Blessed day!!! Go Out and Give The Gospel!!!
Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
1Timothy 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
1Timothy 2:2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
1Timothy 2:3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
1Timothy 2:4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
Have you noticed that too many are preaching their own agenda, their own lifestyle, their own set of values, their own philosophy, their own set of rules. This wicked world is out of control. It has been for a very long time, however in the last five years it is rapidly declining.
We should be as bold, we should be as vocal, we should be as persistent, we should be as determined as these other groups….Because Our Message Is True, Our Message Is Correct, Our Message Can Change lives!!
It is about getting the gospel to the lost. It is to bring the good news to every creature. It is not about our personal convictions, it is not “screaming ” to the lost about their sin. They need salvation then let the Holy Spirit convict them. Our job is not to get them saved, not to make them clean up their lives, it is to get the message of John 3:16 to everyone.
I am not saying to pacify the lost and say “your fine I understand you have the need to sin”. However we can’t scream “get cleaned up then come to Jesus”, plant the seeds of truth then pray for that person.
Romans 1:15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Romans 1:17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
But us Christians have gotten so mini-mouth that we are not preaching anything, were not proclaiming anything, were not standing up for anything, nor are we standing against anything! We do need to stand up for what is right and not fear what the world can do to us. We need wisdom on giving the gospel and standing for the truth.
We are so afraid we are going to offend someone, we are so worried that we are not going to politically correct, that we are not preaching the gospel!
We shouldn’t be cruel people or hateful or mean spirited , but we should stand up for what we believe with conviction!!!! We also need to be careful not to be as the Pharisee who was praying and thanking God he wasn’t like the publican. We all fall short and to thank our Father we are better than someone is just wrong and wicked.
Luke 18:10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican.
Luke 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
Luke 18:12 I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess.
Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.
Luke 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
The Gospel must be preached from the pulpit, it must be preached in the home, it must be preached at market place, it must be preached at the work place, it is up to all of us to make sure it is!
1Peter 3:15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:
I want you to understand, that no one will wind up in Hell by accident, they will be there because they reject Jesus. Now we should never be glad that someone ends up in hell, but we need to realize Jesus saves not us, we give the good news.
I don’t believe God went to all the trouble of having His Son die on a cross for mankind sins, without giving every person opportunities to accept Him as their Savior!
BUT WHAT IF:
I just want you to imagine for a minute that a person has 50 opportunities to accept Christ as their Savior. This person rejects each one how sad and think how will they feel in hell knowing it could have been avoided.
It is kind of like an addict who ends up with an awful illness due to the addiction. I would think the thoughts of “wow I could have avoided this horrible pain, instead I fed my flesh”. I do believe hell will be far worse than any pain from any illness, injury. I think the pain and torment will be harder to bear in hell than here.
REMEMBER we have many opportunities to present the gospel, how it must grieve our Lord when we walk away and say;
NO TOO BUSY TO WITNESS NOW.
I AM AFRAID THAT PERSON LOOKS MEAN.
I AM SURE SOMEONE ELSE WILL GIVE THEM THE GOSPEL.
I AM DEALING WITH TOO MUCH I CAN’T BE CONCERNED RIGHT NOW.
I REMEMBER THEM FROM SCHOOL, FROM MY JOB, FROM A PARTY I ATTENDED, AND THEY WERE AWFUL LET THEM FIND OUT ON THEIR OWN.
ISN’T THAT THE PASTOR’S JOB.
Imagine for a moment that you don’t witness to them, or invite them to church, or minister to them in some way.
Now picture in your mind, that person with flames all around them, and fear in their eyes, and the expression of torment on their face!
Now imagine that person is your friend, neighbor, co-worker, distant relative, mom, dad, brother, sister, son, daughter, spouse…Can you see their face?
Now picture with me if they look up out of that horriffic place and ask you, “Why, didn’t you tell me about a place called Hell?” (Now I am not saying if it is possible for the lsot to do this just using it as an example).
“Why didn’t you tell me that Jesus died for my sins?”
“Why didn’t you tell me that Jesus loves me?”
What Is Your Answer Going To Be?
“I was to busy!”
“I was to tired!”
“That’s the preachers job!”
“I thought somebody else would tell you!”
“I thought because you went to church, that you were saved!”
How awful will that be if we are given the opportunity to see who we could have witnessed to, and didn’t and now they are in Hell????
We have heard the joyful sound:
Spread the gladness all around:
Bear the news to every land,
climb the steeps and cross the waves;
onward! ’tis our Lord’s command:
Sing above the battle strife:
By His death and endless life,
Sing it softly through the gloom,
when the heart for mercy craves;
sing in triumph o’er the tomb:
Give the winds a mighty voice:
Let the nations now rejoice:
Shout salvation full and free;
highest hills and deepest caves;
this our song of victory:
Love and Prayers
